After 2003 I'm convinced we've got to stick to the plan. The defence is one of the best in the league; The midfield is young, strong and improving (though we could use a wingman with good disposal by foot the likes Greg Tivendale or Chris Judd) But the forward line is the key. Lance Whitnall has to be the first choice because the plan is to build a 2005/06 premiership side. Mooney has to go, and I'd say the same about Kingsley if he wasn't our highest goal scorer of the last two seasons.
Let's stick to developing our young talls (McCarthy and Playfair), see what Mackie does next year, and get a gun forward who will be peaking around 2005/06. That must be Whitnall or maybe Croad. For me though, Whitnall's got to be the man.
 
My forward fantasy Rawlings and Whitnall. Maybe Croad/Bradshaw if we need a cheaper player (trade wise).

Welcome to our board Cateye Gillespi, hope you enjoy yourself on here. :)

As for your forward line ideas, I think you've pretty much on the right track saying we should get either Whitnall or Croad with the aim of building a Premiership team in 2005/06. I would lean more towards Croad because he can play in defence as well, but I'd be happy if Whitnall came to our club providing we didn't have to give Carlton too much for him.

In your position, criticising the team somebody barracks for isn't really a brilliant idea.

Tis a tad hypocritical, mate; considering your team is bottom of the ladder and in possession of 1 Premiership cup.

That certainly would be a dream but we have no hope of getting Ottens. I think Cateye Gillespi was thinking more about next years fantasy forward line. Two realistic targets we could get
