Foxtel - how atrocious has it become year after year?

And to think there used to be a pr0n channel on fox that you could access with that dodgy '' free '' smart card. Right there and then they dropped a few stars with such a poor decision to remove it.

Despicable campaigners.

What’s the extra content?

doesn't Foxtel Go offer essentially the same thing?

It's mostly the same, but it's the more niche stuff that's only on Kayo. Most of the Hockey One season was exclusive to Kayo for example. The ABL was also a Kayo exclusive, but most of their matches were on You Tube anyway.

Plus there's the on demand highlights/replays, which you can't get on Foxtel Go.

It's nice to have stuff, but not worth paying an extra $25/month for.

We have had the NBN for 7 years now and haven't had too many issues apart from when some Dick in our estate dug up the fibre optics and it was down for about 3 days.

Had it since October and had 3-4 separate occasions when it has blacked out for a day, one occasion was a 2 day total blackout. But that could have been related to the skyrail built near as since that has finished there hasnt been any blackouts.

I'd be querying why Foxtel subscribers aren't getting Kayo for free (or at a very subsidised rate). We already pay for the fixed channels, why should we be paying an extra $25/month for the additional content Kayo offers.

Also query why you have to purchase another Foxtel box (which also gives you the ability to then cast) to watch Foxtel on another tv. You have paid the money, you should be able to cast to a tv, anywhere.

When I was having issues with my sat dish the tech guru was telling me I could use my ipad to watch Foxtel. Imagine a family crowding around a tablet.

You cant cast to a TV unless you pay $15 a month for an extra connection
You can have multiple screens pooter tablet laptop phones but not another TV unless you pay more
Worked that out yesterday when I finally got the app on my tv
Only way around it might be to load a phone app on your tv but it would cause problems trying to change without swiping the screen or physically hook up the lap top to the screen

Under the new Plus package you can now cast to another TV. Also price I pay now pays for Netflix. As I’m a Telstra bundle customer I get a $25 discount on full package.

You shouldn't have to pay more to watch something you have already paid for is my thinking.

A friend of mine has confirmed Chromecast works for your issue if you wish to go down that route.

‘they’re different businesses (although owned by the same parent company). I pay for Kayo, why don’t I get Foxtel free?

According to their website it wont
It could be my old phone or my lack of nous.
Im sure I can work it out eventually.
but
I like to watch 2 games at once when its not Hawthorn.
One on the lap top and one on the telly, so its ok with me.
The better game gets the sound

if you used Kayo instead, you can watch 2, 3 or even 4 channels at once and choose whichever audio you prefer...

Do they have any sports discussion shows that aren't bad comedy and/or panelists pretending to disagree with each other? Can't remember the last time I made it through an episode of any of them.

They're scumbags they know things are changing and refuses to change. I'm guessing theres a generation of people that remain loyal because it's easier than streaming, I don't know. They used to have the monopoly of slugging people more money to get foxtel in another room but since casting has come in you think they'd change but no. I really only want it for sport but to cancel some packages requires calling them and holding on for ages which they do some people won't bother. Adding packages yeah no worries simply log on and away you go cha ching. It's the same with the herald sun you can do the trial thing which still cost a dollar but to cancel you have to ring. Anyway now that I've rambled on I feel more motivated to try cancelling again.
