wut?Nup disagree.
Streaming from Kayo is rubbish. It's virtually like watching it on ch 7.
It relies on your data.
So it's going to be expensive and you will be paying twice for it. (paying for kayo and then paying your card)
It does but it's part of the subscription package with foxtel.Does foxtel go rely on your data?

I have got both kayo and foxtel go. Both give the same sports. one has better streaming, the other is like watching it on ch7Its 2022. Surely everybody has unlimited data plans?

I wondered what was up last night with the NRL, couldn't find the channel but said their was a 4k versionFoxtel scrapped the 24-hour 4K sports channel (508), in favour of 4 4K channels that will broadcast certain live games - those solely produced by Foxtel - but then close off straight after the game.
The 4 channels can currently be accessed by typing the channel number directly into the remote, and can be found on 591-594. The first 2 channels run via the satellite feed, while the other 2 are via streaming. For people using either the IQ4 or IQ5 in internet-only mode, all four 4K channels will run via the streaming.
Having 4 channels will enable multiple sports be able to broadcast simultaneously (AFL, NRL, F1, Golf, Cricket), but unless watching live, or recording the live game in 4K for later playback, you will only be able to watch replays via the HD (1080p) channel…
It would be better than what was 20 years ago but not as good as it was 10 years ago, well at least in content. With cheaper streaming options that deliver the same or better content foxtel is in decline in that sense.I've had Foxtel, or Galaxy as I think it was known, since the mid 90s and the idea that the quality is declining is complete bs.
How is iq5 for anyone who uses it? Is it a significantly better experience than using the app?
Moved into a new house and man is the experience of going back to FTA channels a trip. The app works okay, but not that functional with an LG remote. The 20 second delay is a killer for live sports...not sure if the iq5 would do much to improve that though.
Can’t speak for the delay but having the 4K channels is good. The Foxtel app PQ is pretty decent these days except maybe for sport, so this is as good a reason for the IQ5 as any…How is iq5 for anyone who uses it? Is it a significantly better experience than using the app?

Exactly the same as me. Just handed my box back to the Courier on Monday to be honest. It was just to expensive and I didn’t even have any movies and just the sport channels and some entertainment ones the wifey liked. Was paying $25 a month with the first downgrade from platinum 2 years ago and ever since then the price just went up and up over the last couple of years to a peak of $65 a month last month.Got rid of it 3 months ago after pretty much having it since pay tv first started in Australia with Galaxy in the mid to late 90s.
There was a bit of angst from the wife and kids but they don't even mention it now. My kids who have part time jobs get Binge between them and my wife watches The Walking Dead via that. I got Kayo for $200 for 12 months for the footy and F1. I don't miss it in the slightest.
I had been on a good deal for the past 12 months and was happy to stay on it for the same price but they said they couldn't do it so I said I didn't want it. Over the next week I had 3 different sales people ring me trying to entice me to stay by adding temporary bonuses, no deal, the last one got a bit shirty because I wasn't buying what she was pitching. Offered to cut my internet charge in half for 3 months and then after that I needed to call them back for anything else. fu** calling them every 3 months and begging for some scraps and being given the run around.
It's gone and we've all moved on. I still have my internet through them which I've been happy with for the past 4 years.

I rang them and told em to fu** off after being a customer for over 20yrs. I think they knew it was over and didn’t even haggle but could not even get near my original package of $25 for just the sports channels as the guy on the phone said all the packages have been re structured and I politely said piss off then.
I will happily pay for Kayo and Amazon Prime while I get Netflix for free and I am not missing Foxtel at all.
Foxtel will fold soon with what they want considering the cheap streaming options available now and good riddance to them IMO. In the early 2000’s I admit I couldn’t live without them but now GAGF. Not to mention they give loyal customers nothing while a new sign up gets the world…..
Yeah fu** off!
