Edit: holy **** Carlton people, how can you think anyone here wants your input on umpires or anything to do with the game. Stay out or get pointed

Have had time to calm down (skulled 4 double gin and tonics)

We can’t change it, everyone saw how ****ed that was.

3-1 we are in a good spot.
Have proved we are a finals team
Treacy is breaking out , but a couple dropped marks very costly.

You can tell from the stands that it was touched. Massive deflection. And you're telling me not one of the 4 field umpires could see that?

I could be wrong but watching live I reckon AB turned straight to the non controlling who didn't want a bar of having to correct or deal with the wrong decision.

I am trying to keep them all out of here and replying doesn’t help. Seriously, move on from the title
I know you are the moderator (which I respect), but I’ve been here since 2002 and have rarely complained about anything. We should be entitled to point out something we don’t believe us right.
This is when we have to stand tall with our players.

Eh -- Tabs was the same at his age. He's trending in the right direction, I say we continue to back him in.

As much as I wanted to smash the tv, I thought we cost ourselves a game here with some bad decisions while 10pts up with 3 minutes left rather than the umpires’ decisions (that was a mark by Treacy in the middle of the ground, I would have thought he controlled it ling enough and spilled it due to the push)

Either way, I don’t have a problem with the game plan, what I hate is indecision in the F50, take a ****en shot at goal, Jackson had two opportunities to kick a goal on the run from less than 50m and chose to pass and turn it over. Fyfe and Brayshaw also guilty of this. I don’t want to believe that they’re instructed to do that. That needs to change.

MJ needs a stint at Peel. I might be wrong here but he seems disinterested at times. Versatility is unlikely to be one of his strengths so the club might have to make a decision at some point. He’s still young and Im not writing him off, I just don’t see the hunger in him. But like I said, I could be wrong

Think we're staring down the barrell of 3-2 now which ****ing sucks. Should've won this one. Port's midfield well and truly has the better of us, particularly with their goal kicking.

Regardless of the result:

- If we don’t start kicking goals we aren’t going anywhere. Something needs to change
I thought Saad was decisive for them. His rebound made a lot of our inside 50s pointless. We need a properly dangerous small forward who can put the fear of god into rebounding defenders. Our talls are just about sorted but we are really wanting for small-medium goal kicking talent.

They are. It needs to change. We need a midfield that can consistently kick goals. Too much over reliance and overuse of the ball iF50 and it's ****ing frustrating. Been a problem for years now.

My hearts not broken at all, my girlfriend watched her first game of footy today (she's Indonesian and lost her voice screaming when that chump smacked Fyfey in the throat) and I'm proud of the display the boy's put on.

People will argue about the minutiae but unlike others, our flag will never come with umpires favouritism, I've come to terms with that at this point.

Treacy was a big reason we were even in that game so I'm not going to lambast him for a contest or two.

Both teams wanted it bad and I think the Johnson sub bit us on the bum as soon as Freddy went down, sometimes it's that close.

Let them enjoy it and act like they haven't been jagging arsey wins over us for the last few years, we're building something special and day's like this will teach us not to leave it in the hands of the umps.

A goal kicking midfield is the other side of the coin for our lack of scoring ability. I felt we were vulnerable when that last quarter kick for goal by Brayshaw dropped well short

Don’t let anyone tell you the umpires aren’t the difference between winning and losing. They made a howler with the Aish non-advantage, then another with Cottrell’s “mark”, and then doubled down on it for being rightly told they’d screwed up and handed Carlton a third goal.

4 points should be reversed.

Clown college stuff by the AFL.

Neutral here. The Aish non-advantage needs to be explained by Laura Kane.

The holding the ball whistle is about 2 seconds late, to the point that Aish has already moved the ball on and then there can be no possible explanation that results in the ball coming back.
