So disappointing..brave efforts all day.. just some moments.. when treacy as a second effort dashed forward and couldn’t quite hold the mark (which would have been paid to king Charlie or crippa) and it slingshots back.. i like the system.. gives me 2012/2013 vibes with the resolve they show.. they will learn from this.. would hate to lose a GF in these circumstances

People complaining about umpires and suggesting there's a conspiracy are just embarrassing themselves. Grow up.

We also got a gift right in front of goal in this game (Amiss goal). We also got away with 2 OOBOTF in the first half that should have been free kicks against. The kick after the goal with 30 seconds to go was irrelevant anyway, we weren't going to kick one with 30 seconds left in the game. Game was over as soon as the mark was paid to Cottrell.

Everybody makes mistakes and sure it’s not intentional.

But when I call the “mistake” before it happens, something is seriously wrong.

What does the want AFL? Money

In order to get money, they to get drama and tension into games.

What I have seen a lot of the things is that the team behind get the run of the rub.

Honestly the worst part about the dissent call is the umpires waiting so long.

If they called it when the whole team was having a go at them then the penalty is 50 metres, but no they wait until literally the split second after giving the all clear for a goal to call it.

It’s a personnel issue in attack.
That’s why I was a fan of Sturt late last year, and it’s a shame he’s dropped off for one simple reason.
HE. KICKS. GOALS.
We have all these battlers in attack but they needs 25 chances to kick 8 or 9 goals.

Idk if it is personnel though. We were always outnumbered in the forward because we played extra players in defence. Bit hard to score playing that way. Maybe if we introduce a handball/run in waves from the backline similar to Richmond/Port we could score more.

Ultimately we just don’t score enough. Our attack is not a premiership winning one.
It’s a killer and will lead to situations like today on a frequent basis.
Only two freo players have kicked 40 goals in a season since 2015. That’s nearly a decade of footy!

Look I agree! We need to kick more goals or we ain’t winning anything!! Hopefully that comes

This game just shows how badly we need Darcy. As good as Jackson is in midfield, we need him receiving the ball forward of the contest.

A few changes coming this week for sure.

Yep watch this game and tell me we’re not an infinitely better side with Darcy in allowing jacko to roam fwd a lot more .
sorely missed his ability to compete both aerially and on the ground up there

Continues to drop those. It’s frustrating. Not only does it drop, it rolls forward to the opposition.

Treacy clunks plenty these days and he played a fierce game. Could be that fierceness took a little out of his focus and messed up his marking towards the arse end of the game.

In all likelihood his stamina will only improve as he continues to mature.

I’m away and haven’t been able to see the game but actually sounds worth a rewatch because I’ve gotten most of my anger out just reading the posts in here.

Unfortunately, having young KPFs and then a lack of forward talent around them is going to cause issues if we want to truly progress. It’s why I’m all for McDonald because we skip some of the waiting time and just get more talent up there.

Darcy being the big lump he is, would of been valuable in those last 5 mins parking himself in defense.
