Carlton peeps, come on, no one on here wants your advice, stay out

Edit: holy **** Carlton people, how can you think anyone here wants your input on umpires or anything to do with the game. Stay out or get pointed

We will learn more from the loss than it will cost us on the ladder this year. Heads up everyone, Carlton just spent all their paper bags in round 4.
Nice to think that but I can still see the Crows saying last year when the AFL shafted them for not reviewing the goal line decision that cost them a finals spot that it would spur them on this year.....look how that one's worked out so far.

Pretty flat. I didn't see much of the game because of working, but I caught the last 5 mins or so. Just a chronic way to lose a game and then after that I had a shit shift anyway. In more ways than one, so bit bummed really. Can't really say much more, sometimes sport is just annoying or cruel, sometimes both. You can argue we cost ourselves the game as a possible reason, but when you consider the AFL is so VFL-centric still and the last time a non-Victorian GF was 2006, and only 2 non-Victorian winners since; it makes you wonder if it's even possible Freo can ever win it, with so much against them - including themselves being their own worst enemies at times. Imagine if that was a prelim or GF itself. Deflating and energy-sapping, I guess tomorrow is another day

Only thing embarrassing is your eyesight old man, perhaps you’ve ‘grown up’ too much.

No, I saw it just fine. I just don't think Carlton got a big advantage overall throughout the whole game. We also got a debateable free kick paid to us straight in front that resulted in a goal. Blaming the umpires for the result is not just immature, it's also just plain wrong.

What actually cost us the game is a series of bad decisions and dropped uncontested marks in the dying minutes of the game, leading to use giving up a 2 goal lead. We're a young team and will get better at that. Crying about the umpires is just "cringe", as kids today like to put it.

The triple jays could not take a mark to save themselves today.
Some indecisive play inside 50.
We are a better side than how we played today.
Carlton were giving it everything.
The tide will turn..
Can't wait until next game when we wipe them out.

Honestly, watching it without the heat of the moment, Cripps throwing it everywhere, not getting the advantage for Aish kick down the line when they had a more egregious play stop with Cottrel earlier in the game and the Kennedy free kick against Draper when Amiss got polaxed 30 seconds later were worse moments than that touch and whatever the dissent was for.

Despite what Carlton posters will have you think all over the site, we were the better team and we bottled it with a lack of composure for 5 minutes when it mattered. The next month is crucial in our season, we HAVE to go 3-1 in this month. and be 6-2 with probably the easiest part of our year done.

Also love Drapes, but McDonald or Cox and we win that game and probably comfortably

Again, more positives than negatives but just so ****ing infuriating it was Carlton of all teams.

Following that horrific ending I needed to cheer myself up. So I’ve had 3 x pieces of fried pizza dough with burrata, a slice of margarita pizza, a plate of crab bucatini, some beef and pork ragu tagliatelle, two amaretto sours and two thirds of a bottle of wine.

Almost got a food coma just reading that.

I'd be pretty annoyed if I were you guys
No media pundits gave us a chance this week. We’re obviously light on with young Draper against your two towers and we were just pipped. Umpiring what are you gonna do??? But I think we’ve shown we’re top 4 material if we keep this up.

Sydney overrated. Reckon GWS, Dees, Carlton then Freo at this moment.

That Frederick pass was inexcusable. He kicks from that range and angle often.

I’m starting to wonder if he had a niggle and had lost his kicking range. It was so peculiar not to take a shot. You can understand Fyfe from 40m, old, unsure set shot.

I’m confident there’s a team plan to hit up a leading forward and not bomb from 50m in transition play. The amount of players inside 50m running at goal who pass is abnormal, and it happens every game.

Wow..Carlton fans celebrating like they won a premiership....

They don't realise Fremantle just showed the entire competition how to beat them. We couldn't quite execute there at the end and got some poor calls go against us but we showed the world they bleed.

Worried about Amiss, he doesn’t have the big game fire that champion players have from day 1
He’s a kid in practically his second year after bursting on the scene and now copping attention from men that he’s not yet used to.

To be fair, I don't think many other teams could replicate what we did and the ones that could probably can beat them their own way.

Geelong and Sydney might be the ones that could borrow it although I don't think the Swans defense is nearly as good as ours (their kicking is better though).

Our forward line was bereft of talent and execution yesterday.
Our mids and stoppage work was immense.
Bring Darcy in, the best tap ruck in the game, and our stoppage work should get even better

That was absolutely infuriating - we never stopped the play in that one so why on earth was it called back
