Honestly, was expecting to be pumped the last two weeks. Two top 4 sides. With three elite forwards and even better midfields. Split even in defence and midfield.

It's wild how close we were to a 5-0 start given out injury list and lack of class in the forward fifty.

3-2 and 4-2 if we can beat eagles next week is a reasonable spot given our list.

Maybe a handful of players stood up tonight , but way to many passengers.

Could’ve been 2-3, given we’ve had Brisbane first week.

Emmett having the role playing running around applying crazy pressure is fine. The problem is when your other smaller forwards are a cooked Walters (peeps, he literally can’t get to a contest he so slow), Banfield who went right back again and Switta who can’t kick goal. The talent under 190cm is just horrific.

We can support MAX two of the those names, 4 loses games

Basically every single resource needs to be spent on any player that has any kind of goal sense because we dominating from the backline to the midfield and missing 3 goals a game from anyone of any kind of talent up front

Would've been nice to have Freddy. Seems to be a lot cleaner in front of goal and with his kicks i50, even when he does little else the rest of the game. And actually has the pace to cause defenders some problems.

We missed him tonight. Just strong overhead and speedy with Emmett.

Your take is too simplistic and just plane wrong. RL would have 3 flags if not for unlucky bounces of the ball (saints) and poor (dogshit) kicking (freo). Low scoring is fine but you need to be efficient. We butchered our opportunities up forward when we need to score. Simple. Poor kicking is poor football. You think we’d learn after 2013.

Isn't that the point? Low scoring allows you to get ****ed over like that. The really great teams can go fast when needed and slow when needed. We can't just shit out 2 quick goals like port did tonight if we get behind at the end.

Started the season well pressure wise both of them. After that Walters popped up for his one good game vs Adelaide and switta has done nothing since. Suspect he's still playing hurt.

The sub has been dreadful the last 4 weeks. There’s no X factor.
Would’ve minded maybe a Simpson or Sturt next week.

AP and Ryan stalwarts down back. Clark and Walker tried to create run from d50 albeit a few mistakes. Didn’t think much of Aish tonight and Hughes..

12-6 marks i50 and 19-10 tackles i50 all in favour of Port. I think with Darcy in and Tabs out those figures would change.

And would rather target Baker over McDonald as our small - medium forwards are poor. Bailey always gives 100% and can popup and goal but Switta and Sonny this season so far are disappointing.

My favourite JOM moment was when he refused to shepherd and instead pushed his opponent straight into Emmett giving him that extra push to execute the tackle.

Someone mentioned it before but Ras cannot be a bench player. He needs to start the game and work his way into it. If he's that bad, sub him off, but he doesn't offer very much when he comes on.

I'm beginning to believe Baker would be ideal to add to the small forwards
