Yes. It actually makes perfect sense. I remember a little game in Adelaide almost 10 years ago where Fyfe's opponent was arguably best on ground. The coach is responsible for structures, team selection and overall performance of the team.
I can be harsh on the players if I want. What will that do? What matters is if the coach can demand more of the players. But I don't believe he could get grannies in the Country Women's Association fired up to bake scones.
