Actually for Round 20 against Melbourne. It is a tad confusing, given that Fox Footy are advertising Friday night's game against Richmond as "Retro Round", but it makes sense that despite it being an old away design, they'd prefer to wear it in a home game.

The photo makes it look a lighter purple than the shorts, so it could still be quite clashy with Melbourne's royal blue.

It's a Photoshop version of something similar.
Here's one dead giveaway, the seams go under the jocktag.
This is impossible, given these are where two pieces of sewn material meet.
No-one is going to be lining those up making sure they meet at exactly the right spot.

If Melbourne give their Indigenous jumper another run, it might help avoid a clash.

Even if Freo was in their regular home there was always going to be a big clash with Melbourne's two choices of navy or royal blue.
