Nice Weather predicted rather than the sweltering heat predicted earlier in the week.

Fast running Bulldogs side, who may be slightly underdone, against a Fremantle side light on depth but with a reasonable first 22.
Possible debuts of Hill, Suban and Broughton will provide some interest.

Freo by under 3 goals :thumbsu:

Will be a tough one but I wonder why you say the Dogs are underdone?

I think you guys have good chance to win, our list is not at your fitness level yet. If Cooney plays he will spend a good amount of time forward as he is not ready to run out a full game

I think you guys have us covered purely on a fitness basis at this stage and should win. We started a month later due to finals and have had plenty of players behind the eight ball due to Ops. If Murph doesnt play our structures shot but even if he does he won't have the fitness to play his normal role. The spaces of Subi will help your advanced preparation.

Coons is definitely in. Welsh and Williams are definite non-starters. Murphy is making the trip, but still in doubt.

Still going to be 28 degrees on match day, thats still a fair temperature for a winter sport, so the Bulldogs will become quite drained with their running style of play. Fremantle will start slowly in this one, come back through the middle of the match, and I think the final quarter will be fairly error riddled due to heat and Fremantle's Psychological Scars.

Fremantle do have an advantage in the ruck, but they don't have the midfield to match that, still very unsure about the Pavlich move. Both forward lines will lack spice, but I think Fremantle will do just enough here to get themselves over the line at home.

Fremantle by 8 points.

Just got a check up from the Fremantle "Doctor" today, and I asked him if he thought Fremantle should get up ....... but he told me that in terms of odds the teams chances of winning are

Western Bulldogs should be $1.50
and freo around the $2.50 <------ (I tipped Freo looks like I'm losing another tip this week !!)

So it pretty much sums up what someone inside the Freo Club is thinking = Another slow start for Freo !!

Two teams, one picked o be top-4 and the other suggested to fill a botton-4 spot...

That said, this Freo line-up could pose the Bulldogs some serious problems.

My pick, Freo to run the game out really strong, with at least 5 goals on the last, and to finish over the top of the 'Dogs...

The Bulldogs side named is in all honesty far more skilled than the Freo side on paper, it makes it hard when we are carrying guys like Peake, Head, Dodd, Browne and Murphy. I'm hoping for a good showing from the debutantes in Hill and Suban, but the Bulldogs SHOULD run out winners by 3-4 goals.

Tend to agree though I don't like it. Our skill level is the biggest concern for me. If we hit our targets and build some confidence and run then Freo should be a very good chance

Glad to see that Addison is back! Hopefully he has a big year and plays most games. Where does Tim Callan fit in if Addison were to play all 22 games? I think Dylan is a far better athlete. I also thought Harbrow would be a definite starter.
I agree with you. I reckon he will come in for Murph is he doesn't come up. Normally I'd pick Harbrow over Eagleton, but Eagle's long kicking will suit the vast expanses of Subi.

Well it's been a long time since tips got submitted on Wednesday and with Cooney now starting I'm not so confident on having tipped the Dockers.

It's not like the heat will bother a team that posted a big win in Darwin last year.

Fremantle might need something a bit easier to get on the ladder.
