Funny thing about Freo was their season was actually a double failure.

Not only were they utterly noncompetitive in Pav's final season, but at the start of the year Ross Lyon promised to overhaul their shitty defensive gameplan to promote faster ball movement & more attacking flair in the front half - yet sure enough by the end of the year they were back to playing the same shitty 18-men-behind-the-ball rubbish he's shamelessly peddled throughout his career.

Yeah they blooded a few kids which was nice, but really no more than they absolutely had to given their injuries. I think Ross is incapable of change.

We finished 14th in 2014, lost our captain, our coach, our CEO then our B&F winner (Libba) went down with a knee in our first intra-club match.
Went on to make finals in 2015, and 2016 panned out ok for us too.
