Toast Gary Rohan (150 games)... NOW 200 is up

Last week he kicked career goal #150 and this will he'll run out in game #150 - 106 for Sydney and tomorrow night will be his 44th in the hoops

His 9 years at Sydney were often hampered by injury, most notable round 4 2012 when playing just his 22nd game he suffered a badly broken leg when Lindsay Thomas slide feet first into a contest. The fallout from that incident saw the AFL introduce a forceful contact below the knee rule

And while injuries may have been a key aspect of his time in Sydney, he's shown himself to be rather durable since donning the hoops, playing 19 games in each of the past 2 seasons with a total of 43 from 53 games so far

He's also proved to be a valuable contributor up forward kicking 55 goals across his 43 games at average of 1.27 per game

Congrats to Rohan on tomorrow nights milestone

Geeeeez he's a bit hot and cold, but love his work all the same. Would love to see a big run down tackle this week

Massively maligned by some here, I know. But I'm still glad he's on the list at this point in time. And despite the fact he couldn't finish his work on Saturday night, that chase down late was a reminder of just how valuable he can be in the forward half. Still think he could be in for a good season if we get our act together in F50. Dropping down the pecking order of attention can only be positive for a player of his pace and skill.

150 games is certainly a solid achievement. And apparently evidence that he's had three premiership coaches fooled about his worth across the course of his career.

Love what he's brought to the forward half since he's been here and think he's been important to how we play. Also love watching him play at the ground. His speed and chasing is awesome, along with his aerial work.

Hope he has a big one

Glad he ahd a good 150th - sometimes he does a lot or work with no reward and sometimes he just is ineffective.

And him getting chaired off by them is perfect.... I reckon both of them have an open account at the pub on Rohan's behalf as Chucky is a benefactor of their pairing.

His form and performance may end up being one of Scotts great achievements. Ironic considering the Swans who have the rep of finding a way to get the best of players.

Twice tonight he made errors that could have easily seen him drop his head. A poor hand pass, and Hawkins mark... and he followed up and made it good. Maturity and good coaching. Playing like the number he was picked at.

Surely no club gets the best out of players like we do.

The examples are legion.

Yep, bumping this thread with an updated titled

Congrats to Chuckie who plays game #200 this week - 106 of them for Sydney, with this being his 94th in the hoops. He's done it the hard way to reach this mark, playing 20+ games only once across his 15 seasons at the top level

A career that's been filled with lows, including a broken leg sustained in a manner that resulted in a rule change, to the highs of a premiership with Geelong - though a highlight which will long live in the memories of Geelong fans is "that mark & goal"

While another highlight from his last 50 games was the occasion in which he's kicked a goal after the siren to win the match for his team, a feat he's achieved twice in his career - in front of a small crowd during covid times, this was a pretty special memory for those of us in attendance that night

If this does end up being Rohan's last season as many expect it to be, we've been lucky to witness some pretty good highs, and maybe there's a few more of these moments left across the coming months
