I thought Geelong in 2007 had won of the most dominant seasons ever. Winning 18 games (15 in a row), & winning 2 finals by over 100 points. Not to mention there superstars were in the prime of there careers.

Collingwood had an impressive year also. But don't come anywhere near imho.

Geelong & Collingwood supporters need not reply.

people say a champion team will always beat a team of champions, but geelong of 2007 were both.
and i say a team that relys on numerous superstars at its peak will beat a team with better tactical nous at its peak.

cats.

Neutrals only, so I won't vote, just comment.

The Cats were more dominant, and probably better overall. But I think we had tougher competition. The 2nd and 3rd best teams in 2010 were far superior to the 2nd and 3rd best teams of 2007. So it was tougher for us to be as dominant.

Nevertheless, Cats take it.

Surely you realised that geelong and collingwood supporters were going to vote regardless of what you state.

Common sense thing to do would be have to have four options:

Geelong
Collingwood
Geelong (cats fan)
Collingwood (pies fan)

Anyway, Geelong for obvious reasons.

Collingwood 2010 would destroy Collingwood 2007.

Geelong 2007 beat Collingwood 2007 by 6 points after a weeks break and the Pies playing extra time and returning from Perth.

Maybe not as clear cut as you think.

BTW, I haven't voted.

You do realise Collingwood supporters can barely read? At least not big words like Neutral, or Public and Poll.

Lulz.

Well that was never gonna happen. :p

Yup, an impressive year by the Pies, but the Cats were supermen in '07.

I think the fact that Port arrived with their pants around their ankles and leaving 119 points behind may have distorted peoples memories.

19 wins out of the last 20 (15 in a row) and a percentage over 150 probably have just as much to do with 84% of people in this poll voting Geelong as the 20 goal GF margin.

What may have distorted some memories is the 2010 GF replay. St Kilda had you the week before.

07 prelim cats beat pies by 5 points
10 prelim pies beats cats by 41 points

10 pies > 07 cats.

07 Cats would beat 10 Cats by 12 goals.

10 Pies beat 10 Cats by 41 points.

07 Cats > 10 Pies.

Seriously, why is it only Collingwood supporters who persist with this 'logic'. It's well known it doesn't exist in footy.
