You could be excused for thinking that they had a lot more: they were much cleaner. I was really annoyed at watching Shiel running around by himself in the first half.Wow, didn't realise it was that close! I'm guessing Laird and Keays had most of them?
I was also puzzled by a change in our approach in the first half this week. Normally, we are in there fighting for the ball, tackling, and the oppo give one more effort than us and get the ball away. This week, watching on TV, I lost count of the number of times the frame showed the ball on the ground surrounded by three oppo midfielders who auctioned it off and did as they pleased. Where were our players? Normally, one would have expected one of our guys to be rushing in there attacking the ball/oppo: there was plenty of time; what was going on? This was fixed up in the second half.
There was some of this around the ground also, with our players refusing to attack the ball and just sitting off. Too much corralling and not enough aggression too.
