At least we overcame our half time shitness

3rd quarter will mask it, but we kicked 4.13 in 3 quarters of football today. Just not acceptable when we have close losses like this.

We can bang on about poor umpiring but poor kicking is poor footy. Foot skills and decision making is still a big issue for half the team and until its properly addressed all the effort in the world is not going to be enough when it matters.

If we started developing the next gen midfield we might start winning the big games down the track.

And where did you have us before the season started?

I had/hoped we would be giving decent midfield minutes to the next gen midfield.

Not running Sloane, Laird, Keays as our main midfield. These guys have failed and will continue to fail in big games.

Thank **** Jordan pushed his way into the rotation.

FFS, we've got no injuries and we are still playing Murph and Ned.

We should be playing guys that have more potential that can win these games in the future, a team of triers won't get it done.

Murph and Ned try their guts out but they shouldn't be anywhere near a team in year 4 of a rebuild.

Keays really lacked some footy nous late in the 4th, on the wing we had an outnumber 3 to 1, ball up high he could of tapped it onwards to our free men to run clean onto (which Collingwood are the best in the comp at), instead takes the ball and gets tackled. Just little things that are the difference between the sides at the moment.

Yup. Just zero game awareness there. Is a good solid truer but you put Rankine in that situation and we have an outnumber going into F50 instead of a ball up on the wing.

As true as night follows day we get absolutely costed by the Umps. Sickening.

The constant fapping over Collingwood by the commentators was nauseous.

Dawson, Tex, Laird, Hinge, Jones were all immense. Rankines second half was very good.

ROB was solid.

Butts did VERY well on MIhocek. Worrell very solid too. Michelanney very good on Elliott too who normally destroys us.

I would say he played about a half of good footy. Is that enough for an experienced player?
Probably not.

Bad: first half.

If we put any ounce of effort into that first half as we did the 2nd, we would have came home with the win. The inconsistent umpiring in this game is a joke. Multiple occasions where umpires paid a free to Collingwood and not the crows where the exact same thing happened.
