Hello everyone and welcome to Good Morning Sweet-FA where we discuss all the latest news and goings on in the world of Sweet. We will kick off todays news segment with some breaking news...
Demons in strife after police bust
Police have successfully conducted a raid on the house of Mount Buller's vice captain Headless and found a significant amount of an as yet unknown substance. Headless is currently being held in Sweet County Jail for a maximum of 24 hours until more information is known. The word coming out of Mount Buller is that they knew about this prior to the raid and have been keeping it under wraps for a very long time. Police will be questioning all players and staff over the coming weeks. The Demons have started like a house on fire with 4 wins from 4 games and are looking towards another premiership tilt. We have no idea how this will affect Mount Buller's season with one of their leaders getting arrested. We will keep you updated on any news that comes to hand later on when the police finally identify exactly what the substance is.

Coney Island pubs reach all time high profits
Coney Island has seen a huge uptick in drinking this past 2 seasons and it is paying off handsomely for the brewery owners. Profits have skyrocketed with an estimated 145% increase in pub patrons just this year alone. Could this have something to do with the Warriors current Sweet-FA team performance? Difficult to say, but Tonga Bob and co. must be pleased with their brewery production output in the short term.
And now to the weather...
It was cloudy conditions at the Eyrie this weekend when East Side drew with the Dragons. Down at Spotswood Oval it was a rainy affair for the Old Boys and the Furies. It was also raining at Van Cordlandt Park when Royals defeated the Warriors. Gumbies experienced warm conditions at the House of Gumby when they won against the West Coast Wonders. Bombers suffered in rainy conditions in their loss to the Swamprats at Underground Stadium (not very underground is it?). Finally, it was warm at the Snow Dome when Demons massacred the Roys.
And now to the final discussion point to end the show...
Where is the 14th team?
The people of Sweet were happy with the Old Boys joining the league in season 34, but most are unhappy with the bye structure and would very much like to see it go bye bye. We are all holding our breath in the hopes that this unknown team of posters get their act together and put a solid bid forward before the beginning of next season. I pray we don't have to suffer through another shortened season with Wise Guy Sam at the helm of the bye.
Is a 14th team already put together and are simply waiting for the opportune time to announce themselves? Well all of Sweet is waiting...
