Correct but wasn’t in the senior flag. Was very good in the reserves GF. Corbin has his challenges so hopefully the move works for him.

Yep twos didn't lose a game. The 3 grades of footy lost combined 3 games of footy for the year

My point was responding to the original conversation that posters have responded to regarding Echuca Ressies finishing 6th in Seniors.

Agree Silver. There is a wide chasm between Senior and seconds footy in the GVL, like all leagues, so can’t swallow these comparisons. The Echuca FC is impressive but it will end and they will be ordinary again.

Absolutely agree on the wide chasm between Gvl seniors and seconds One game that comes to mind was the Ky vs Rochy seconds game the standard was deplorable the 2 senior sides that followed would beat those 2 sides by 40 plus goals
But disagree with your call that Echuca will become ordinary once again
In my time whilst not winning flags they were always competitive never ordinary!!!

Mansfield up there too with a few handy ones!
3 shepp sides have added some handy players in Moore, chalcraft and Shannon.
Euroa/ morroopna lost a fair few?
Rochester/ Benalla haven’t heard as much ?
Seymour picked up a few but have lost a few good players too!
Tat surprisingly picked up a few which is good!
Echuca going off on here lost a few? But they’ll be top 2 no matter what.
I reckon the comp will even up a little bit which is always good. Hopefully bottoms sides like tat and Benalla will improve which will make for a good season!

I think echuca have set themselves up where I can't see them falling out of the top 4. Look at who's involved in their footy programs. There's unity through the club, everyone's on the same page. And I think it looks from the outside anyway everyone wants to play senior footy there, their twos and thirds want to stay

GVL draw is released . From round 12 to Round 16 ( the winter rounds where wins are priceless) Echuca play one away game in Tatura!! Shepp Bears play 4 games in a row at home!! These teams finished 1&2 last season. Someone please explain how this is allowed to occur.

Any win is priceless. There is never a fixture that is fair is there?
It will be interesting to see what occurs in the future but unless Moama joins the GVFL, Echuca will always be the destination club within the town. The town will continue to grow, junior numbers will continue to grow and the club will go from strength to strength.

Interesting article in Adelaide addy I cant paste it maybe someone can?About the decline of country footy.Landscape constantly changing.Sad to see Yarroweah in recess.Lots of country clubs gunna perish in next 10 years.
There's a few SA players, playing in the north west of our state, I'd imagine the money is far better in country vic than south Australia. Even sanfl reserves guys would play for not much, I'm surprised gv clubs haven't looked at that instead of getting guys from the vfl and metro Melbourne, you'd get better players cheaper
The current regulations will see to that!
You've gotta remember not that many people live in SA outside of Adelaide. Victoria has geelong, Ballarat Bendigo, Albury wodonga, shepp, drouin/Warragul moe/Traralgon and warrnambool with more people than Adelaide's second biggest city which is Mount Gambier.
Moama are way off playing GV footy In my opinion.. yes I know it would take time for them to get up and going, but is it people just saying they need to coz Echuca are a dominate team at the moment?

The gaps not that big at the moment between the gv and murray league. Echuca won't drop off the perch anytime soon, I think Moama is growing at such a rate they can play with the big boys now. They are ready for the gv or bendigo leagues

I recall Mansfield came in and were initially pretty diabolical.
Certainly not from a league like the Murray FL but all things change as they certainly had a period of dominance and are mostly competitive.
