Ultimately this is the culmination of years of doing the right thing - from hiring coaches and staff, list management, pushing for training facilities, timing your form well at the end of the season.

Everyone loves treating premierships as this almost mystic, unknowable concept that needs to be "unlocked". But it's really not that - all you have to do is try and consistently do the things that win games of football through footy department staff, recruiting, tactics and off-field politics, and sometimes a flag lines up, and sometimes it doesn't. This year it did, and it's because of all those incremental steps over the last decade. Well done again!! Celebrate the night away!

I just can't even put into words. For Zorks, for Harris, for Froggy, for Choc, our young boys having a day out. Ashcroft youngest ever Norm Smith. And of course, for Fages. Always calm and collect, never faltered, trusted in his boys and gave us everything we could have dreamt of. I'm a wreck right now, I'm just so damn proud!

Congrats for an incredible finals series and win today! I was there cheering Brisbane on for my mum who was a Fitzroy supporter.

Amazing to start 0-4 and go on to finish 5th, then have to play all 4 weeks, travelling for the last 3.

Well done! Superb effort and fitting end to what was the closest season I can remember.

I absolutely love how Big O was so happy for his teammates. He’s a decent bloke. Contrast to our VC last year!

Incredible performance when we were written off ( justifiably so ) early in the year by everyone including myself.

After the way we won those last 2 finals it was just meant to be . To produce that sort of effort on the biggest day with not one non contributor on the field was mystic.

Like sharing the Captaincy the Norm Smith should've been shared though Will was a very deserving winner. Honourable mentions to Starcevich ,Ah Chee, McCluggage ,Andrews , Daniher.... well all of them really.

Kudos to the staff , coaching panel and all those who dragged us up from an ordinary situation to do that today.

Can't wait for all the melts when we get Levi and Marshall.
