2nd youngest team to make playoffs just a bit older then last years.

Need a CB and trade Ja, OL need another who can play Guard and Tackle also need a center. Hopefully Morgan can play better next year I get he was hurt even before he went on IR but didn't play great.

Love him but Kenny Clark did nothing all year. Play cut or he will be cut.
WR room isn't good. Reed had a bad case of 2nd year blues. 2nd biggest need in FA/Draft
RB not sure we need any moved. Dillion will be gone after being on IR all year. Wilson showed some nice things and Lloyd didn't play all year with injuries.
Wouldn't say no to an extra edge but more FA then draft need

Coaching we need to call more smart plays. And need to stop the dumb turnovers or needless after the play penalties.

Not far off from being a really good team. Just need some new pieces and stop playing dumb football

Agree with a whole lot of this. Obviously OL depth was a huge factor today.

reed was a huge dissapointment this year after last year, first half of the season more involved than the last half also. Seemed to get in his own head with fumbles/drops.. and your spot on with Kenny clark.

Wouldn’t mind an edge rusher that just gets to the qb. Our pass rush bit hit or miss. But overall I think the defense actually made some good steps.

Maybe having a bit of a regression year also sharpens up the coaching staff and even love at qb after all believing their own hype after our ending last year.

I know you’ve harped on it multiple times Aussiedude.. stupid penalties, and silly mistakes constantly putting us in shit situations, time management issues. And I think up until close to the pointy end of this season we were seen and believed to be the team ‘no one wanted to face’. Dangerous on the ground, can air it out, defense sneaky.. Proved to be a false narrative when it comes to the elite sides where those mental errors can’t be overcome

I might be bias but I think we had some bad luck last year and were hopeful Love would play at the MVP level he did the end of last season. But the while O had a down year from people returning other then Kraft, Doubs or Rhyan.
Jenkins had a nightmare season by his standards, Morgan never got healthy, Myers is Myers and that's why I'm fine to move on and draft a new C rather then pay him. Some times the OL looked good other weeks they couldn't block anything. Symptomatology of the whole Offense just inconsistent.

Defense kept is in a few games but pass rush is non existent most of the time, sure they will get pressures at times but don't finish. Early season they were good but peaked in the Titans game.

Cooper, William and Bullard are 3 good players. Cooper is going to be a star. So looks like we finally hit on some picks on D.

Another thing that bugged me all year. Once again MLF with his "I need to do better with calling plays" but never does. Other the 1 last week the endaroubd with Reed was removed from the playbook, I get teams saw it at times. But don't remove adjust and use the motion and throw against it. Motion as a whole was basic late in the season. No cheat motion or try and draw the defense to one side and throw against it or throw into the motion as a screen.
And too many Aaron Rodgers type deep shots with nothing under called this season. Sure keep them but build reads under and call more quick plays like when Willis was in the game. All year the OL struggled and the WRs had drops so why throw 7 and 9 step drops deep into coverage that's not there or get sacked because the OL didn't hold up.
Love alos needed to run more. We all know he isn't a runner but can still pick up yds when needed on year plays. He had one today but are all season when they were open. Don't wait for the deep ball to open from man coverage when there is a lane to run

ST mistakes are getting bigger again, not sure paying the big $ to Bisaccia is working when we still have holds or dumb returns. Yeah Nixon you were a all pro returners 2 years ago but you get greedy and return too many kicks you shouldn't now and hurt us with fumbles or because we get called for a hold. Same with Reed on punt returns getting hit a few times when he should call for a fair catch.

I thought we could get healthy and some players find form. But as December went on I gave up because it wasn't happening.

It's like we are allergic to playing complementary football. If the O is playing well the D can't stop anything. Or vice versa. Or a bad penalty killing a drive on O or extending a drive on D, if not a ST mistake

At our best we are really good but just can't play at our best in all 3 phases for more then a week or so. And that's one of the most frustrating things.

Yeah aussiedude you're bang on with most of your points.

It just felt like all year we were waiting for the team to stop with the stupid mistakes and penalties but it just never came. We had three good performances in a similar spot to last year (Dolphins, Lions, Seahawks) but this year we lost one of those and the other two were against shitty opponents now in hindsight, but that was when the media started to say we were a sneaky chance, and I tended to agree but the next month it just never happened.

Kraft had some interesting comments about potential toxicity in the locker room earlier today, I think we'll move on from Jaire.

Pass rush desperately needs addressing. Gary and Clark's regression disturbing.

Excited to see which needs in EDGE, CB, WR and OL they address in FA and which in draft.

Find the hating on Love online a little unwarranted, he was pretty average yesterday and he definitely has a lot of work to do but it was still his second season and I'm optimistic on him overall. His laziness with his footwork is a concern though.
Not sure whether the offence was figured out a little towards the back half of the year, the play calling just regressed or Love didn't play well but we really went to shit after making it look fairly easy for large chunks of the year.

I don't think Gary really regressed, he started the year poorly and played well in the back end. But he's not a number 1 edge guy unfortunately. The regression of Clark has been alarming unfortunately.

We need to add a pass rusher in FA we need a good veteran pass rusher and can't afford to wait for a draftee to perform. LVN is looking like a bust at this stage.

I'd say we're probably in the same spot with CB we'll bring in a FA and hit the draft hard.

I also think the injuries Love had this year didn't help his footwork and continuity. Statistically he's had a similar first two years as Rodgers did when he started. However the eye test has Rodgers ahead imo.

Overall a poor end to the season, but I'm optimistic going into the off-season.

Gary's biggest issue is that he gets there but doesn't finish. At times it looks like he can kill the QB but freezes because he doesn't want to give up a penalty other times he just takes a bad angle or gets juked and misses.

We need more accountability for mistakes. I like what the D did this year. Offense needs to play better, they showed they are capable at times but need to do it more often again.

Love that Jacobs said he will try and recruit players to come in. We all know Green Bay isn't a destination spot, players come here to win and the tradition. But that's also a good thing because it means players want to be here and there are less distractions around.

I wouldnt mind MLF bringing in an OC and share calling with them, at times he gets in over his head and calls too many developing plays then quick hitters to get going. He wants to be the nice guy and that's where the lack of accountability comes from. Doesn't help that the locker room lost leaders like Jones and Rasul Dougles in the past few years. Sul wasn't the best but he was a leader and kept people in line. X has taken over that but was hard as a new player to do that year 1. When players like Ja were still around

Gary had a bad one yesterday in the 2nd half, pretty sure on 3rd down too. Blasted straight into the backfield on a read option play and hurts kept it.would have had him a negative 2-3 yards And he did just that. Kinda just froze and let him go by.
