That one hurts.

We should have won by a fair margin in the end. I am sick to death of watchin us blindly kick to contests we are outnumbered in. Simpson might have got alot of the ball, but I will continue to say that when he is leading the inside 50's we aint gonna win.

Not once today did he kick with any purpose into the forward line. It was blind kicking, straight to a pack of expectant Demons, who either marked the thing, or cleared with disgraceful ease. We have no class going forward. Rocca kicked 4, and was not once kicked to on a lead. We are so predictable in our movement of the ball it is unbearable.

Carlos, singling Colbert out for bad disposal reflects your view of the bloke IMO. He took nine marks, and while not starring was not too bad. If you are going to go after blokes who used the ball badly today, list all 22 players, not just your pet hate.

The comments on Harris have me a bit perplexed. When he was on we were obviously better.

If you want to talk about shirking contests, start at King (who was disgraceful and MUST be dropped) and Grant. King is a liability in the backline and simply does not look interested. He is slow as **** when he does not have the ball, and will not put in when he does not see a possession in it for himself.

Why Archer was left on the defensive goal line was anybodys guess. What use is your toughest player when the ball enters his area 7 times in a pressure packed last quarter?

Pagan coached badly today. I thought Teague had to be injured. If he wasn't, it is definately a disgrace. Harding will be a very good player, and I just hope today does not get him down.

I won't comment on the umps.

Anyone know where Bryan Sheean lives?

Funny you should ask, because I would also like to know where that useless maggot lives. Sheahan should be shot and his body donated to science.

I've explained why i mentioned Colbert in the other thread. It was in comparison with Tegaue, who is a simalar type of player IMO, but who i beleive was better.

Anyway, couldnt agree more with the rest. We lack intelligence and purpose. The way we moce the ball is farcical and it kills to see the way the opposition are able to drill passess to eachother up and down the ground. Yes we are hard and fierce and all of those wonderful things, but you're talking loud and saying nothing if you cant also use the ball!!

I've been to David King what the likes of you and your fellow Colberteers have been to our beloved dollars Colbert. Anyone who contributes as much as he does on AND off the field and is such a bonza clubman as he has been is worthy of a few credits before the ax falls. But i have to admit, he is just looking a shadow of himself compared to last year etc. I think it is almost time to send him back and get that mojo back that is such an important part of his game. He just looks shot on confidence and is a passenger. Up until recently, i've been able to see that he has at least been trying to work through it and still be creative (with varying degrees of success), but now he is just lacking on so many fronts. Those 2 goals go through in that first quarter and who knows? I think he'll play against Essendon though. He has to. One last chance.

Besides putting Teague on the bench, I was puzzled about Pagan's ruck tactics. Burton rucked for most of the 2nd and 4th quarters, and we won both quarters. In the 1st and 3rd, it was Porter, and White was able to beat him. If Pagan's intent is to rest Burton, why not give him the first 20 minutes of each quarter and allow Porter to do the relief ruck work?

Teague in the backline, Colbert in the forward line. The key problem with Colbert as a defender is that he's lost his pace, and thus, he isn't able to get in the second efforts. At least as a forward, if he doesn't take the mark, he may be able to get the ball down to a crumber.

It's true that King's form is down, but he's not alone. I just think that he needs one game where he nails two or three goals, or perhaps even better, two or three tackles, and he'll then go on a rich run of form. I'd want him in for the games against Essendon and Richmond, and then see what happens after that.

I dont think he ever had pace to begin with, but he is even slower, but worse has no agility or turning ability. I agree, he should be in the forward line, but close to goal. His opponent will always run off him, but at least it wont be as consequential from the last line of defense.

Thats been the basis of me thinking you couldnt frop him until now. He is a confidence player, but one of great experience so its not going to take much before it all clicks again. Perhaps a role at half forward, where he can just run and create might be the answer?

Back to Milk & Cookies

Right on guys! Couldn't AGREE more.....

The umpiring / coaching by Denis / disposal skills were the absolute PITTS!

What is going on with this game ?

The MOJO MUST return and we'll be better for it as the PORNO star isn't performing, the game has LOST the PLOT and we're paying to see a B-grade exhibition with cameo's from our stars who seem to be playing in high heels and mochosins!:(

Two other complaints.

Firstly, who the hell is responsible for the players boots? I lost count of the number of times that our players slipped over. And it hasn't been just this week....it seems to happen every week.

Secondly, tactics. With our opponents, you could tell that they had a strategy in place to move the ball around the field. Notably with the Demons today, they would hold the ball up, take it wide until they found a chance to get the ball into the corridor. With us, I couldn't figure out whether we had any system apart from bombing it long if the player was under pressure.

um my friend is the bootstudder shinners lol want me to have a quiet word in his ear?

nothin more frustrating than going to a game where contests are clearly outnumbered by the other team :( Especially in the last quarter dammit. Lookt a bit like wot StKilda sometimes do grrh playing too far away from the man and by the time they get to him the balls already down in the other teams 50 metre arc! Why do they do this does Denis not emphasise how important it is at 3 qtr time especially when the scores are neck and neck or do they just panic?
