Any team can beat any team on their day and the respective positions on the ladder illustrate the gulf between melbourne and Hawthorn at the moment. Thanks, but that's not the feeling amongst a lot of Melbourne supporters, including myself. Yesterdays loss really showed how bad we can get, and exposed our severe lack of depth we thought we had.

We played really well & it was a great win ,but although Clarkson was correct in saying we can only play against the 22 put up ,the fact remains you guys were without Neitz ,Millar & Bruce players of that calibre would leave a huge hole in any side.Get them back fit & firing the Dees will still be a top four side @ season's end no worries.

Come on now lasher...we taught you to play nicer than this and show a little respect to others where they work and play! If you are going to behave like this, save it for when and where it actually is acceptable...perhaps in a reply to a Yze_Magic post on the main board!
I do have to say it feels good to see the Hawks beat a quality side...and the Dees are a quality side IMO. Good luck to the Dees for the rest of the season!

Some of our fans on here are an absolute embarassment. It gets to the point where I can't stand to read the main section of the forum when we win a game because it's full of people starting new threads about how great we are and slagging off everyone else. These threads inevitably end up as a slanging match between one or two complete idiot MFC fans and the entire world and it reflects on the rest of us. I have to distance myself from some of the complete trash written in there.

Some people need to pull their heads in. We are undeniably one of the weakest clubs in the competition in terms of on-field success, supporter base and financial viability - so the last thing we need is keyboard heroes giving people ammunition with which to nail us.

When we win a Premiership then I'll go ballistic, rub it in to everyone I can find, and start 72 threads going wild about it. Until then (and this goes to very few of the people who actually post in the Melbourne section of the board), shut the fk up and behave like a normal person.

It's a shame really as I do enjoy getting rival supporters POV on the Hawks and games in general. After a while you get to know who's posts to read and who's to ignore!
