Time to pony up Melbourne. Would be a great get for the MFC. Sharp is basically a mix of Isaac Smith, JJ in his prime and prime Steel Sidebottom.

Very smart pickup by Demons. Wish my club was smart enough to do these type of deals

He will be plug and play day 1. Surprised there isn’t more interest tbh.

I know he run good but can he footy good

Getting enough of the ball at AFL level, strength and kicking are his main weaknesses.

We're not a team that utilises wingers to provide width and instead roll our wingers through the contest which doesn't suit Sharp as he's not a contested ball winner (more that he lacks the body strength as opposed to being 'soft'). The way Melbourne utilise their wingers as we've seen with Langdon will suit Sharp IMO.

He seems like a good bloke and is supposedly professional in terms of training standards.

Pick 40 + 54 + 65 for Sharp, 60 and 73 probably works

It gives Brisbane equivalent of pick 35 which feels about right . Suspect Melbourne are happy to overpay by swapping extremely late picks they wont use anyway

Bunch of picks are eaten up by bids draft night too, Melbourne retain pick 49 but that might get close to pick 40 anyway as bids are matched.

I don't think playing 16 games in four years raises your value above your original draft position. 49 or 54 is plenty.

Brisbane wouldnt give him up for that given he is contracted and 100% would be a wanted player.

They are better off losing him for free in 12 months then 54
Nah. It'll be a late pick, they're fine with him looking around.

Genuine question, will Sharp play over Langdon or will Langdon have a role change? IMO Sharp can only really play that specialist wing role, his strength is his running. I have always seen him very much in the Langdon mold even before the trade request.

Hard to know for sure. He could just be depth, or they could go with a three-man rotation where Langdon alternates between wing and HF (where he spent a bit of time later in the season), and Windsor splits time between the wing and playing on-ball.

With Windsor, he's obviously an excellent prospect as a wing, but similar to Brisbane with McCluggage, I see them giving him more inside minutes as he gets older – might be a bit of a waste having him on the wing exclusively as his work in traffic is really good, and lord knows we need some pace around the ball.

I think there's potential to move Windsor into a inside midfield role ala Max Holmes.

I can potential see Sharp slotting into that wing role or rotating into that high half forward role that ANB played which was him playing high up the field and giving the defenders a chop out with his two way running.

If you guys keep Windsor on a wing, youd be nuts. The guys wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too good to be wasted on a wing
