On paper it doesn't look a bad side, also thought Longer was pretty good at centre bounces last week, just needs to do a little more around the ground & hopefully this week he's better for the run. Surprisingly we are the outsiders  so no pressure, just a bloody big win.

Hoping Sincs gets 30% midfield time or something like that - got all the tools. Same with Minch. Good to see VFL form being rewarded too

It must frustrate the players playing well in one position and then have to play another, especially fwd pocket which isnt easy. I suppose as long as they play how the coaches want them to play they should retain their place.

If we lose it will be melt city..let's play the kids and experiment, I don't think we will finish higher than 12th. Team should try hand balling and spread, and holding onto the ball longer and evading, maybe even try lowering the eyes and hitting targets >50 for a change..those long bombs to Bruce are getting old..

Last year we were 2-4 & certainly didn't look as good in our games as we have this year, and only misses the finals by percentage & because umpires cheated us the Hawks game. We're only 2-3 at present

I wouldn't expect experimenting until we're at round 14 & clearly don't look up to it

Don't undersell one of the best sharkers in the game in Tom Mitchell. He's my worry, regardless of how good Billy goes

He's a star, I was staggered when I read that we apparently weren't into him. Would've been absolutely perfect!

B: Jarryn Geary, Nathan Brown, Jimmy Webster
HB: Jack Newnes, Jake Carlisle, Dylan Roberton
C: Jack Billings, Jack Steele, Leigh Montagna
HF: Jade Gresham, Nick Riewoldt, Maverick Weller
F: Darren Minchington, Josh Bruce, Tim Membrey
R: Billy Longer, Josh Bruce, Tim Membrey
Interchange: Blake Acres, Sam Gilbert, Koby Stevens, Jack Sinclair
Emergencies: Luke Dunstan, Daniel McKenzie, Jason Holmes

Good luck to Koby but ffs let's not pretend he's Nat Fyfe, hopefully he'll be able to make an impact.

Small forward brigade looking stacked

Does it make me a bad supporter that I'm glad Dunstan was dropped?

This guy has been given an armchair ride for about a full season now

Whilst others, notably Acres, have been treated like a spud

It's win-win, either Dunstan responds and becomes the player he threatens to be, or, we discover that he's not up to the standard and we find someone else who is better

Sinclair to play Long's role, I hope he gets mid minutes though

Only Sinclair's 3rd season, he could yet become a player

Lastly, I'm basing this on nothing, but... I reckon Billings plays better when his mate Sincs is in the side

Gets competitive juices flowing - I'm better than my old school chum, just watch me...

Agreed. But he is also slower than every single player on our list that isn't a ruckman, and given we have a slow list, I can kinda see why we didn't go there

Just watched League teams & 360 and both touched on Adelaide not having enough midfield depth last year. This year they have entrusted their kids and flankers to come in and do the job. I think Richo could learn a lot from what they have done! Richo's coaching this year is very reminiscent of the old Ross Lyon...

Fun fact:

On current ages, 16 of our 22 on Saturday are 25 yrs old or under.

I like this a lot
And just on this post. I understand that we had even more under 26s last week, but just felt it was ridiculous to go into a game against Selwood & Dangerfield without a mature age 'bull' midfielder.

Very happy to have Koby in this week & pleased Sincs has been rewarded for killing it at Sandy lately

His output hasn't been great in the last 18 months, but **** we miss Armo around the ball

3 of those 4 can play through the midfield. Sinclair definitely didn't have 30 odd touches out of a pocket in he vfl
