The whole board has released a signed statement on their endorsements

Introducing 2 renegades with no substance (reading their mantra ) is an unnecessary Risk

The board is doing a very good job and I’ll back them in

As for the polarising Jeff …he’s 75 and retiring
“Russian roulette”
“Renegades”
“No substance”

This is why so many members were pissed off that the board used the club media channels to petition voters, when people like you swallow it whole and as a consequence throw mud at the other worthy candidates, as if they’re something to be feared. It worked.

The way this whole campaign has been run, going back to Nank being unable to find a suitable candidate resulting in his name being put forward, has been horrendous.

It’s not just about Jeff anymore. I can support our team on-field. But I can’t in good faith give that same support to our current board.

If they had of run it all above board we could at least celebrate getting Kennett out no matter what. But it appears Kennett was also covering up some things that are only now becoming apparent

There’s no gun to my head

The board are United in there endorsements

The board is harmonious

I’ve read the prospective “time for change “ mantra …no substance

There main beef was pokies …there sold

Second beef is about Kennett …he’s gone

Third beef is about the process of electing nankervis …see Harris and Don Scott letter to members sent last week …i Believe them

You don’t fix what ain’t broken

Gowers team talk about everything but what matters …success , flags which only comes with a stable strong Board

There entry (considering the whole boards signed statement ) puts that at risk

I think a lot of this alternate ticket is based on a disstain for Jeff and his big fat ego ….look beyond that and see what’s best for the club at this time which is a stable functioning board over the next few critical years
You lost me at ‘there’.

(Sorry, I’m not usually that guy, but c’mon, twice in the same sentence?!)

Why would you say that bold bit?
Because it’s playing out the exact same way when left the political arena. Delusional until the end until he gets smacked with the truth hammer

We have had enough of his bull shitting

He has caused untold harm in his second term. And he just will not shut up

He's been hanging out with Sam Newman too much. With their podcast and what not. I'll just say this if anyone has listened to it. No "WOKES" allowed.

Old men are frightened and angry about modern life - I’m shocked to be sitting here.

In my experience people like Jeff never retire, they always want to remain relevant.

While Jeff did do some good things in his reign, there has also been things happening that has been questionable.

He stated in 2016, that his return was only for 1 term. It is now his second. He stated in his first term that Presidents shall serve no more than 2 3 year terms. This is his fourth.

When his first term ended in 2011. He said words to the effect of that we wouldn’t hear from him again. It never happened. In 2013 after a loss to Geelong, he publicly called for Clarkson to be sacked. He ranted on about the poor governance of the board in his absence. Our losses to Geelong was always referred to as the “Kennett Curse” not the Clarkson Curse. In the same year, he publicly stated that he was the best person for the Melbourne presidency.

Jeff has proven that he will never go quietly, wether it’s his hand picked successors or people totally new, like Gowers. The current board appear to be controlled by Jeff, as he appears to be more dictator than an elected President. His second term has been 6 years without a member vote. He only agreed to step down at the end of this year, after the backlash of how the coaching situation last year occurred. So his leaving was more forced rather than him leaving on his own accord.

I’ve read Gowers / merlino mantra

They have no substance and have used cliches and fluff on the main

The current board is doing a good job

“Time for change” applies to a mulfunctuoning board which is not the case here

If the whole board is United In it’s endorsements, than they (time for change camp ) are indeed renegades

This is not 1996 where we had a malfunctioning board

We have a strong United and sound board that deserves to be backed in

Imagine is also a great song by John Lennon.

Agree to disagree - but it’s better than that dreary moan of a ****ing Christmas song he did that gets trotted out every November.

Especially seeing that in his second term, there has never been an election, up until now.

Genuine question - how is it that you can deem letting the club president continually, ferociously and personally attack the government of this state when we needed them for funding - to the point where it then cost us said funding to the tune of $15-20M is doing a good job. On what metric is that kind of failure of leadership in any way quantifiable as good?

I'll ask again. Do you think the incumbent Board members will work closely with the H4C candidates if they win positions on the Board for the betterment of the club?

I also wonder if any that lose will be prepared to still help the club especially any of the current people on the board… especially after this statement… 873A1CBB-17EE-4DE8-9AE0-1A06131F9622.jpeg

OK I'll spell it out, WHY would you want him to evade a sledge hammer?

What crap that is.
The contracts are signed.
We have Luke Stambolis specifically on the board for the project.

From the politician hoping to be elected....😧

As if that statement wouldn't come back and bite him on the ass in time.
They can't help themselves.
