The exiting board comprises Kennett (President), Nankivell (Vice-President), Richie Vandenberg, Tim Shearer, Ian Silk, Katie Hudson, Anne-Marie Pellizzer, Owen Wilson and Luke Stambolis. Vandenberg, Shearer, Silk, Wilson and Stambolis weren't up for election.

So if the reports are correct, we'll have Gowers (President), a vacancy at Vice-President, Merlino, Vandenberg, Shearer, Silk, Hudson, Pellizzer, Wilson and Stambolis. One of the directors will be elected Vice-President.

In football parlance, it'll be

ins: Gowers, Merlino; outs: Kennett (retired), Nankivell (omitted).

So do I. I suspect he is a very good 2IC or general board member but thought he was quite uninspiring leading up to the election. I voted for Gowers as we need change, however, he has a lot of work to do and is really unproven. Will be very different to the past two terms of Jeff.

Merlino is by far the best known of all the board candidates, so not too surprised to see him get up.

A clean slate. Probably what the club needs. Clear air and hopefully some state gov funding.
Time will tell.

Some significant change but hardly a clean slate. Gowers replaces Kennett as president but just the one change on the board - Merlino for Nank. All my choices got up apart from Merlino (I voted for Lui). His one job is to get state funding. Let's hope he delivers.

I'm guessing their allotted time to talk was proportional to the time saved in the earlier formalities with no questions asked or objections raised. Assuming there is a target end time for the meeting. Maybe the after party doesn't start until later.
