As I see it this year for the flag its Hawthorn >>>> x >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> other 6 teams.
The ONLY thing stopping the Hawks from cruising the flag by 10 goals in Geelong and theres a good chance the Cats wont make the prelim.
So I'll say if they DONT face the Cats and lose, biggest choke of all time since theres zero opposition.
If they face the Cats and lose then its on par with 08 for mine.

Seriously, I love the Saints, but I admit they choked in 09 and 10.
So it is a bit hypocritical for you to say the Hawks are going to choke.

Serious for a moment - poor kicking cost the Saints two flags. If they kicked straight they'd have won in 09 and 10. Cats bit of a Bradbury in 09, IMO. Saints should've won that, and would've with straighter kicking.

But, goal kicking accuracy is a part of footy. If you're not kicking straight, then it can cost you, and 09 demonstrated that. A gun forward who kicks straight (Brown for eg, but moreso guys like Dunstall, Lockett) is a lot better for kicking straight than a forward with a poor record (Riewoldt, Richardson).

There's no doubt if Riewoldt kicked like Brown, or Dunstall, or Lockett, he'd be a level above what he is.
