An interesting time in the rebuild.
A 0-5 start to the season see’s pie in the sky finals talk hit for six by brutal reality.
The list is being questioned and now, so is coach Mitchell.
Three years into his tenure, the pressure is mounting.
Mitchell will be desperate for a result this week against North who hawks fans have openly mocked in recent times.
A loss won’t sit well with the faithful …

What's going on with the Hawks?

The Suns seem to have more exciting kids, and everything else. If the Worpedo doesn't fire they are uncompetitive. James Worpel has become one of their most important players.

With a bunch of years down the bottom of the ladder, you'd think they'd have some Anderson, Rowell, King, Lukosious, Flanders, Powell, Ballard, Clohesy types picking up the mantle now or soon. The plug should've been pulled after 2016 but is that all that set them back so far?

Looking at their list profile, Hawthorn still seem a 2-3 years away at least from being a good side. I was one of the fools who thought they could back up their stronger performances last year and be on the fringe of the 8 for season 2024.

Death, Taxes, Geelong supporter and Red Bull piling on after a hawthorn loss.

Got to give Red Bull, at least he’s consistent. The rest is just a one way rivalry.
Are you saying Hawthorn have a rivalry with Carlton but not Geelong? Or that you have a rivalry with Red Bull but not other posters?

Clean up your mess of a post please. But I agree there isn't any rivalry anymore, and there was no malice or trolling in my post. You didn't address the points but rather "hahaha look at the Cats fans in here!!!". Pointless.

Sorry?

smish this is your original moronic statement that you struggled to articulate whatever the hell you meant.

What on EARTH were you trying to say?

If the Crows can kick-start their season, so can we.

The Suns have about 15 first round draft picks on their list.

Ah we're back in the stage of the cycle that Hawks fans rate first round picks. I remember when they didn't need them because "only bad clubs need them."

Sam Mitchell has now coached around 50 games for a 30% win loss record. Has a similar record to Stuart Dew.

Take your whining about posters to your own board if you have nothing constructive to say.
If you don't have unwavering faith in Mitchell you're a troll apparently.

Just like if you didn't have faith in Clarko you knew nothing about football.

Until Hawthorn moved him on, then it was fine to point out his flawed top up.

Of course they do.

The Suns have an enviable list for three reasons only:

1. Consistently finishing low on the ladder for more than a decade and accessing high draft picks.
2. Consistently losing good players to more desirable destination clubs, thus getting even more high draft picks.
3. Having access to academy guns that other clubs cannot access.

So Gold Coast and GWS are the only sides who can rebuild?

Hawthorn reminded me of some of those recent North Melbourne teams, who had a lot of inside grunt but not much class and speed on the outside.

Maybe it was the travel factor plus Queensland weather that made them look lethargic, but lack of pace (along with KPF) seemed to me to be the biggest weaknesses in their team.

Did you see our midfield?

Noah Anderson had more disposals than all our mids combined.
