I know you're shit. I just don't think you're tanking.

Hooray! We are on the same page then. Its irrefutable
I mean I don't for a second think you're tanking. I do think you could've avoided some of this pain through better list management but nah, not tanking.

Would only prolong the pain. This is the path of least resistance.

ITT the same Hawks fans who have been saying a 2 game sample size isn't large enough are holding a 1 game sample size up as irrefutable proof.
Irrefutable proof of what?

Not Sammy's fault. Out tanked by Clarko the Mastercoach
Could be the third time in a row that Clarko hands a side their first win, who go on to win the spoon.
Crows - 2020
North - 2021
2022 did not coach
Hawks - 2023?

For a non Hawthorn person, this summation is pretty close to the mark. The other thing about O’Meara is he was unable to string games together, a bit like Wingard with his ongoing calf issues.
Feel bad for Wingard. He’s become a bit of a whipping boy, too - but his body is what’s letting him down, and that’s really not his fault. His best position is as a linking player in the midfield nowadays (drifting forward into space and causing headaches to opposition back lines that have to suddenly man him up). With Jai being more split between playing a half forward / midfield role yesterday (which I liked, plays much more naturally there than Worpel), I wonder if Wingard and Jai could share that role to give that bit of unpredictability in the midfield/forward line while still keeping a structure - as opposed to desperate shit like throwing Hardwick into the forward line or Sicily into the midfield. That way Worpel can play pure midfield without looking like a headless chook for the sake of “versatility”.
