I'll probably get told to f*** off or something for posting this here but anyway.

Regarding tonight, there is no doubt that I desperately want the Dogs to win. I hate the Hawks, I want their season to end, and I want their Era to end.

However.

Probably only at the end of last Friday night I came to the sickening realization that I have an incredible amount of respect for them. What they've achieved has been miraculous.

When we won our 3rd flag I thought I would have to wait decades maybe to see a team at a similar level. I respectfully still consider the cats of 07-11 as the best football outfit I've seen but they never managed what your blokes did in terms of achievement.

If, and it is still a big if, you lose tonight, and IF this does somehow finally bring your run to an end, then kudos to the team and it's fans. It has been a mighty effort and by going as close as you did last Friday, it highlighted again that if you do miss out on 4 in a row, it won't be through lack of effort.

Be proud. (As if you f***ers aren't already)

Fear not Puss, no matter what happens tonight Jager, Tom and Ty will ensure you continue to hate the Hawks for many years to come.

The Hawks will ALWAY be the knot at the pit of your stomach...and we love it!!

Omeara you can have, if you can turn Vickery into something worthwhile then you deserve 10 flags, Mitchell is the one I'd prefer to see not make the switch - he will help you a lot.

It's funny, I don't worry too much about the hawk games as far as outcomes go (aside from 08 obviously, still makes me feel sick!) Because we win often enough to make me happy. But I can admit to being fearful every time we play them due to the multitude of mates I have that support them, and the endless stream of abuse i cop when they get the better of us!

All or nothing now. No second chances. Gotta come to play and take out opportunities. Dogs are a very good side and have nothing to lose and will play that way. They know they are a team on the up and given the season they've had they'll know that next year they can achieve a top 4 finish. I see them in a similar mould to us in '08 so I hope our boys are not going to take this game lightly and IF a chance arises to kick away we need to take every one of them.

It has almost - not there yet - almost got to the stage where I don't mind seeing the Hawks do well because they are obviously truly worthy. As opposed to a team just having one great year and sneaking a flag.
