A must win game if we want to finish in the 9th to 14th slots rather than 15th to 18th slots.

No surprise 5 of the top 8 are inaugural sides, and 2 of the other 3 slots are filled by the first 2 expansion sides North and Geelong.

No surprise GWS has slide so far down, Sydney taking their players hurt, Sydney/NSW talent pool is shallow, but Freo's slide is surprising? Is that driven by KPF Gemma Houghton leaving?? What is Carlton's excuse for sliding so far? They only just missed finals the last 2 seasons.

It’s exciting that one of the Cockatoo-Motlap twins is debuting, and I’m glad that my girl Jade Halfpenny is back in.

Duursma and Goodwin are both a bit stiff if you ask me, and De Melo has been one of our best avenues to goal this year so hopefully others can step up and kick a winning score.

IN: Li Cockatoo-Motlap 30, S Syme 20, J Halfpenny 4

OUT: J De Melo 11 (personal reasons), S Goodwin 13 (omitted), Y Duursma 7 (omitted)

We've had three or four of these "personal reasons" so far - is this just a, you know, women's thing?

A must win game for us, otherwise we will end up in 15th-18th position on the ladder come the end of the season.

The 4 new teams have won 5 games and 2 draws. 3 of the wins have come from playing against each other.

The 2 wins against established sides have both been against wooden spooners West Coast first by Essendon in Perth in Rd 3 they belted them 84 v 32, and Hawks last week won at Frankston where tonight's game is, by 3 pts.

Both Essendon at home in Rd 2 and Port away the next round drew with Carlton.

Dominating but cant get goals. Bloody terrible picture with the sun obscuring yellow ball for shots on goal at our end.
