I wasnt going to say anything on here in regards to yesturdays game but i am shattered.

It didnt help living in Geelong i have had over 50 people rubbing it in aboiut the game. Being 22 i have never been so passionate about our season this year and have been amazed on the performances to date, but yesturday tore me and every other kangaroos member to pieces. Just a week ago we were playing the doggies and 15 mins into the final qtr the fans were chanting the theme song. Just one week later we witness a game like that.

I just hope we can show what we are really made of and bring some passion back one week later. So we can win games we should and stick it up everyone (including some roos supporters) that wrote us off after yesturday.

Yeah, I went to school today and guess what? I got the most crap I have ever copped going back to school after a loss.

I got it from everyone, bout 10 of my friends, my mum, my dad, even myspace comments.

I was so frustrated. Lets hope our boys can step up and have a good win!

P.S: Where's everyone sitting. :)

That's what inspires me about our people and how often we are taken for granted.

I too drove from Nth Vic (2.5 hr drive) to be humiliated with that effort yday. I could have handled a 20 point loss, even a 40-60....but gee....

The worst I saw though was the family of kids who drove down and back to Griffith NSW last night.

Gaso

I left the MCG and drove home back to Adelaide....Longest 8 hours of my life I think...But I got home, woke up after 3 hours of sleep, went to work, got laughed at by everyone, as I sat on the computer, booked my tickets for next week, booked my accomadation, and now, I am positive about our chances. So im back in the car Friday night to do it all over again...I cant wait. GO KANGAS!

Ha!

Nice one KangaMatt. That is awesome.
You have revived my hopes.

Lets smash these filthy, pathetic, draft pick hoarding Hawks.

Their is an old football saying,

A week is a very long time in football.

By this time next week, if the boys play to their capability and with a bit of luck things will be much different.

Seen it many times.

Days like Sunday make it all the sweeter when you finally win it. For those of us who missed the 70's but had to endure the 80's and early 90's, the pure pleasure of 96 was almost worth the wait.

So yes get angry, but still support the team in times like this. I bet you 75% of those Geelong supporters were nowhere to be seen 3 years ago. But we are better than thats.

The only thing you can do is turn up and cheer them on, even guys such as Eddie and Leeroy.

Legend, hope the players realise they let down a lot of people on the weekend

Post of the year, without a doubt.

And if they do the right things you'll have a quicker trip to Footy Park the week after!

What's another 2.5 hours each way. Bring on Saturday night!

So true! Save me a lot of money too! A win in Adelaide on Preliminary final day would be amazing!

Mate, this is one club that i won't be able to face losing to. It just can't happen.

Sorry to dampen your enthusiasm mate, but the question that has to be asked, why the hell do we want to beat Port? I won't be able to endure another MCG date with Geelong. Not this season. Thanks but no thanks.

Tell me about it.
I ****ing hate this club.

We have to do it.

I'm giving it away, it's too frustrating for me to follow the Roos. I can't forget 2005 Elimination Final and I can feel it happening again on Sat nite. I can't see any decent fullback going to stop Buddy Franklin. I don't care about winning or losing anymore. Everytime we make finals, we choke and history is repeating itself. I can't go on.

Perhaps you can join me in supporting Carlton?

At least they're successful.

And ?

Cry me a river, emo kid.

Oh for heaven's sake. How long have you been supporting this club?

History is made all the time. "History repeating" is media and suporter drivel. Geelong weren't good enough to win those Grand Finals those years, nor were Collingwood. We were good enough to win just about every final for seven years in the 90s, then not good enough for a few years.

Why are Geelong fans so excited now? Because they have been so close so often and it finally feels like their team is good enough, and they have stuck with them and held faith.

If you can't live with the uncertainty of results, and stick with your club win or lose, then perhaps supporting competitive sport is the wrong hobby for you. You only get the joy when you finish on top if you also get the lows when things go wrong - and the more you've shown faith without results, the greater the joy is. Most of us gladly accept that's how it works.
