In a case of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the Giant that is the Richmond football club, has tweaked the interest of over 5 million Chinese viewers for yet another World record.

Will Roy Morgan include these Asiatic Tiger lovers in his next poll or is he just a racist?

All I can say is thanks Kochie for growing Richmonds footprint in China, now piss off you sniveling little man, China is ours.

"A total of 5.67 million people in China watched Richmond hammer Greater Western Sydney by 89 points at the MCG on September 28."
"That represents a sizeable increase of 15 per cent from the previous year's encounter between West Coast and Collingwood."

Did this need its own thread, probably not.
Think of it more as a community service, for all those millions of Tiger lovers the World over.

Does the Goo tag still exist?

Port started playing in China backed by the AFL
You forgot this bit ..
The centre piece of the AFL's China strategy is the annual game featuring Port Adelaide, which this year was watched by 4.01 million people in China.

So on the back of Port playing in China, there is more interest in AFL.

Oh I forgot ... Where did Richmond play in China LOL

What happens in the 2020 Final... does the wining team get their foot in china as well, without playing there. LOL
Don't think so ..

You seem to have missed the point, we have no need to play in China to be successful there, thanks DK.

How can you be successful there lol
It was an AFL Final and because of Port playing there, and did the ground work, with the AFL ... Of cause Chinese people watched it.

Looks like you did not know that Chinese TV did broadcast a weekly AFL game in Shanghai during the season.

Maybe Richmond played in one of those as well. I know Port did lol

Only minnows play in China.
You know, like new clubs that have only been around for 20 years or so, like Port.

20 years lol.. if you say so .. you must know more than the AFL & Port Adelaide Est 1870.
And for the record, Richmond has only won one more AFL premiership than Port.

If you can support a club with the magnificent Tiger as its emblem a big powerful club that matches its emblem, or one with a lightning bolt that is relatively small, any smart Chinese will choose the Tiger, Indians already love us.

World domination has begun, thanks for getting our foot in the door Kotchie.

Do some research...
Fairfax Media revealed last week that the AFL is strongly considering a series of recommendations which if accepted will backdate the competition's official history to 1870, the year in which Melbourne claimed the game's first recorded premiership.
Port Adelaide CEO Keith Thomas has argued that if such amendments are made, then his club's 34 state league premierships won prior to its 1997 entry into the AFL should also be included.
From our point of view, the first thing we'd say is our history is our history and as a club, we were formed in 1870 and celebrate the fact that we won 36 SANFL and one AFL premiership," Thomas said.
"We believe that an SANFL premiership is the equivalent to any other state league premiership won, so if you're asking me whether it's worth as much as a WAFL or VFL premiership, we would say absolutely."
Port Adelaide is unique in the sense that it is the only non-Victorian club to have entered the AFL as a pre-existing state league entity.
The Port Adelaide Power which arrived on the AFL scene in 1997 is officially the same organisation as the Port Adelaide Magpies which had competed in South Australia for 126 years.

The AFL commission subsequently approved that Port Adelaide Football Club could count the SANFL flags in its total Premierships.
End of story. If you don't agree, contact the AFL commission, and tell them the are wrong ... LOL

Your article is from 2014, AFL has knocked this on the head in 2016.

You can recognise your minor comp flags but only for what they are minor comp flags.

The VFL and the AFL are the same comp all that occurred was a rename.
If you dont like us counting our historic flags won in this competition take it up with the AFL
