What a load of crap. Who the hell would prefer to see Telstra logos over the club logos?

Club logos should be larger... either on the wings in 1991 style or put them around the 50m arc or goal square

Now that Telstra is clearly taking precedent, I'd put them on the wing either side of the GF logo. Would look terrific.

....Until nab or coca-cola or someone see it and ask the AFL to put their logos in that spot in future years

One thing that would be good to add to these Grand Final field logo displays or as a separate display is what has been on the field though the season. To see the evolution of the field of play over the years and the introduction of the centre diamond, which changed into the centre square, the 50 metre line, the goal square and the interchange gates. Looking at the field as it was in the 1970's in your newest pictures and compare them with the American Football and Rugby fields of the time with makings every 10 metres compared to our close to blank fields.

Yeah, usually there are some photos that pop up on the Thursday or Friday that show the logos and whatnot.

West Coast to get blue I'd think. Though I expected Adelaide to get blue last year and they got red.

Both of these are Adelaide colours though. Only one of these is a colour of either team. Would be much more surprised if West Coast got red.

Blue 50 is to the left of screen, red 50 to the right. So yeah, Eagles with blue.

In 1976 the VFL introduced logos for each club, I guess that counts.

Yeah true, but Richmond have neither colour and blue is still the “main” Adelaide colour and the majority of the logo is blue, so it still made sense to me for Adelaide to get blue. Anyway...

The AFL story on Instagram has some pictures of them painting the ground so if you need a reference for your portfolio there is a good start.

Always been a bugbear of mine. Think some state leagues do it, certainly SANFL does. Would love to see the AFL do it.
