The swings in state elections can and often are brutal. Look at what Campbell Newman did to the ALP and what happened to him at the next election.

The baseball bats are out for Dan.
A quick history lesson for you:

The elections you reference were the two largest ever seat swings in Australian political history, they were predicted in polling and if either of them were replicated in the next Vic election it would not be a big enough swing to defeat DAN!s majority.

The LNP being decimated last election also means they are scraping the bottom of the barrel leadership wise.
They are currently tossing up between sticking with the rodent looking nobody they have now, or going back to the old one who is most well known for eating lobsters with mobsters.

DAN! is going nowhere.

fu** as if fu** you dandemic needs his ego stroked any further

How insulting it to those who lost their livelihoods because of this bastard sociopaths incompetence. The mere notion that he should be nominated for anything leadership-related is, or should be, a slap in the face to every Victorian who have had to suffer though a endless parade of bungling and incompetence. If he wins it, which could happen, it would be, one of the, if not the greatest injustices in the history of Australia.
Its official. Dan is the Australian Chris Cuomo.

Edit: Andrew Cuomo, not Chris Cuomo.

Did Shorten already have a massive majority and was he up by 16 points?
No friend, the lesson from the last federal election is unpopular unlikeable opposition leaders do really really badly.
Well Albo and the federal ALP are fcuked then.

My mate has gone to his local police station for the third time this week to report a stolen car with no plates. When the car isn’t parked out the front of a house, it is speeding up and down the residential street. Cop told him ‘this is a busy area hard to get a car sometimes’. Pretty hard to swallow when a couple of suburbs over they arranged a dragnet at a gym to arrest three people (should have held AFLW practice there).

Gym story follows.

That’s at least 175 people who couldn’t give a sh!t about Dan.

They also sent a large contingent of officers to a shopping centre in Bulleen because they got word of a possible unlawful gathering at the shopping centre...

Chinese Communist Party style "lockdowns", a concept not in any way IN EXISTENCE or even THOUGHT OF just 12 months ago.
Detention for quarantine is allowable under law. Of course it was thought of.

Polio epidemics saw schools and public places like pools and cinemas closed.

This is not some new thing invented by bored public servants.

You just have to look at the extreme growth in people working for this government to see where it’s all coming from. Paid lots of money to sit on your ass at home for months and you don’t even ha e to be any good at your job? Who wouldn’t kiss Dans ass in that situation!!!

But in real life I know 3 istandwithdan morons.

2 of them are doctors, they seem really big on the we must do anything to stop this and they get more work out if it so double win! One of them is very active on Twitter and has been quoted on here many times by the Dan fanbois

The third one works for the ALP, used to work for Dan as he was the soft**** who got Somyurek fired the first time. Don’t know if he still works for Dan or not. Absolutely anal about following the rules.

The only people who love lockdowns are those in the government or who get more work out of it and love having no traffic on the road.
What was wrong about getting somyurek fired?
If it helps I’m a public hospital doctor who is highly dubious about the value of this last lockdown.

And for respiratory illness epidemics...?

Bold, be careful only certain experts can be listened to in regards to the virus, and those are the one's who agree with Dan's version of everything. And FWIW i don't think you are alone in your opinion from a lot of the medical profession.

Crankyhawk's opinion would be brushed aside as despite being a public hospital doctor, they would cop the "What is you background in epidemiology?" chestnut.

Nobody's allowed to have an alternate opinion to Dan's hand picked "expert medical advice".

We've only had cases within the hotel itself and very close household / family function contacts who they've spent considerable time with, yet when anyone brings up the sheer stupidity of wearing masks outside in the sunshine walking your dog a million miles from anyone, despite there being clear epidemiological evidence that transmission will not occur, they're all of a sudden insubordinate anti-maskers.

Such a hyper virus, what a croc.

Not that phenomenal they tested the whole 3 psych wards she worked at, that’s already 75 patients and then the staff on shift with her would be at least 20 (knowing the hospital they are likely to have gone wide and tested all the psych ward staff).

Even others who study epidemiology that are not in the inner circle are dismissed with having no idea, so only Dan's team are viable medical proffesionals, anyone else is a crackpot, the cult like following is staggering.

You don’t think there will still be a need in 18 months?

Yeh it's not like pandemics are rare events hey, it's not like we have other viruses before this that were of concern, if anything can be learned from this, the fact we don't have the proper facilities to deal with something like this should be a wake up call. And the mindset of all in politics have to change and make it not about them and how they can fix it and work towards a common ground to do what they are there for, govern for the people, and make sure they are doing what is right for us not themselves, sadly i don't think that will ever happen from any political party soon.

You don’t think there will still be a need in 18 months?

i think people demanding this want solutions in weeks, not 18m

i have no issue with moves towards a permanent facility, but it wont need to hold 5000 people, and we can take our time to build it

the push is to replace HQ, and THAT needs something using existing structures (be they buildings or relocatables), all of which are not perfect (naturally) for managing virus control
