Slug Sutton uses the big words and makes the big decisions whilst being investigated for covering up the closure of a food business. Then we have Jerome who has no idea about health, continuously throwing unwarranted threats out and asking us to call out others in the community for sneezing.

If you don’t think this state has issues, you’re high.
Such is life in the Weimar Republic.

They have learnt nothing from last year and continue to rely on just appealing to people to get tested.

I understand their concern, the fact that they can’t link cases is a clear indication that there are undetected cases out there. But rather than whinging about testing numbers how about they get out there and test people on their door steps in high risk areas.

They’ve genuinely refused to learn anything.

This is done in China and it's a resourcing issue. You need more nurses than we have available to do it in the time required.

We got told this week we’ve been doing an amazing job sacrificing.

Now we’re being told we’re not doing enough and if we don’t lift our game, expect restrictions.

Go and get f……

Chadstone is between East Malvern and Oakleigh.

No, twice ;)

Chaddy is actually in East Malvern.

The suburb Chadstone is between East Malvern and Mount Waverley (w-e) and Ashwood and Oakleigh (n-s)

They did it during the failed localised lockdown last year, so that’s wrong.

Perhaps those covid safe people who walk around and patrol shops with their covid vests on can be taught to do tests rather than getting paid to walk around pretending to do something? Or we can just keep threatening Victorians to go and get tested when having hayfever.

No it's not, because one one word you said - LOCALIZED. We had 400 sites across most of western and northern Melbourne, and parts of the se. You wouldn't have been door knocking three suburbs but about thirty

The workers at the centres are already being abused and threatened by anti Vax morons (there is a reason why you are banned from recording in there). How much abuse do you think they would get walking into random shops?

Remember some shops are now banning people who have been vaccinated from entering, you think they will welcome testers?

They clearly know the high risk areas and could mobilise resources to hit them with a testing blitz. Doesn’t mean they’d get everything but better than sitting on their hands and waiting.

You love to scream that absolutes aren’t possible but then seem to demand absolutes when on the defensive.

The towers made sense, because lots of people in a contained area. You don't have that with Epping, Cranbourne, reservoir, etc

If it was in South Melbourne, docklands, or similar, agree it becomes an option. But when it's in multiple outer suburbs to ringfence it properly you need to do much more than a few streets.

Remember they were infections in shopping centres and schools, so it's an entire community that's effected, not just a few towers

Jerome now threatening that if we don’t get enough testing numbers.. rules like the 25km limit might stay. Let’s just all go and get tested even when feeling good.

They did the same thing last year, when the entire nation eased restrictions Victoria held back demanding x amount of people get tested. Then even when they got those numbers quicker than expected, they delayed until the date they’d set as a target for those tests. But in reality it was a weak excuse to be the only state in the country to ban Mother’s Day.

Yep I’m officially done with them.

Goodness, lucky for the rest of Victoria a lot of you,are not running the state.

We are still in a pandemic.
Victoria has the Delta strain, highly highly contagious.

ffs, think harder.

The only way this is getting into Australia is through the international border. Take your angst out on the Feds for not having federal quarantine.

That’s because the states, led by Dan Andrews, demanded Depts of Health run the quarantine.

I don’t get why there’s a need for lockdowns or even quarantine now. The vulnerable have all been vaccinated or had the opportunity.

wow, you need to wake up a smell the roses.
States do not want quarantine.
They want dedicated quarantine facilities, not adhoc, hotels.

No they have not. Disability sector is still a long way from done. Don’t lie.

Wow I’m glad we don’t have that in Queensland. No offence but Victoria sounds like a foreign country.
(Not that it couldn’t happen here of course…)
