Still trying, on the list for a place in NSW but the cupboard there is bare. It's bloody hard to find a place these days, everyone beat me to it and moved out of Melbourne last year.

Just have to be satisfied with being a short stroll from the border for now.

‘it’s the contact tracing which is providing the information on the so called ‘missing link’ which highlights the potential risk which is being covered by a snap lockdown. Surely people are just deferring spending so the lost money? Did it dry up and blow away?

Businesses who will have to throw away stock they've already purchased, accommodation providers having bookings cancelled, casual workers not getting any work for a week. None of that is money that is just deferred.

The Valentines day lockdown was particularly devastating to hospitality businesses which were booked out all weekend, all lost revenue and they'd probably already received most of their stock and the suppliers would have so much wastage as well.
