Brown returns home to the red and white, originally from the QBE Sydney Swans Academy.

After playing in the Swans inaugural VFLW season, averaging 13.5 disposals per game in 2024, Brown was signed by Richmond. The midfielder also averaged 21 disposals and eight tackles and kicked five goals across four matches for the Swans Coates League team in 2024.

Should be welcome back Imogen! She's played all her footy for us AFAIK. Played in two VFLW games for us earlier this season and then went on to be picked up as replacement for a player with a long term injury by Richmond IIRC. Before that she was with the Swans Academy, originally came out of my local club, the mighty Maroubra Saints. Imogen also has a background playing OzTag at rep level. She is a forward-mid with explosive speed and hopefully can apply a lot of pressure.

I feel like Richmond have not exactly shafted us but profited at our expense by getting Brown for nothing and then trading her to us for Montana Beruldsen. Beruldsen has more runs on the board and looked very promising in our VFLW season and went on to play another 8 games at AFLW level this season, albeit without setting the world on fire. Hopefully Imogen has more upside. She also looked good in the VFLW earlier this year but she is a lot greener and needs more development and opportunity.

This is the best article I have found about Imogen, including a couple of video clips: https://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/1598494/imogen-brown-joins-aflw-tigers.
