Myself and my wife wouldve gone but when we looked there was only single seats. But then the extra seats got released without her (ITW member) getting any notification from the club. We didnt realise that there mightve been extra seats until we were watching the game on tv

Lots of seats in the 3-5 game area.

Hopefully this is just because they are still processing them - otherwise they may need to look at allocating games to ensure they are filled.

You should be made to select the games when you sign up - first in best dressed situation. That way at least they can ensure that all games get filled. It’s not like the dome/mcg where there will always be walk ups for the lower attended clubs

My suggestion is everyone nominates 2 prefered games, and 2 games they are unable to attend. The club then gives everyone at least 1 of the 2, and 2 where possible (ie not everyone will get there derby preference, but if someone wanted GC and GWS they'd get them both). The other games are automatically generated based on what's left / spread out. Wouldn't be easy to do manually, but a well written software algorithm could do it.

"Mr Nisbett said the Eagles hoped to boost the number of seats they were able to sell as season ticket memberships in the wake of the situation.

"We'll also be talking to the State [Government] about that, because at the moment the mix is not right and we probably need to improve that," Mr Nisbett told 6PR.

"I don't think it is a major glitch, but it is a glitch." "

Those pockets of seats around the boundary line at each end certainly weren't a great look. They should be made available for additional members.

Upgraded from In the Wings to a 3/5game flexi membership.
This was my 6th year on the waiting list. ******* pumped.

Congrats Jootube, just got same deal after 6 years. Think my number was around 7100. Just took the 2 adults. Easy process. $70 ITW to be refunded in 30 days. Woohoo!

I got a Flexi offer tonight too
I think I’ll pass as well (as long as it doesn’t affect my waitlist position )
(Because I don’t like the location of the seats allocated to Flexi members , having sat there for the cricket)
I’m around 7200

Wife got the flexi offer last night too and we took 2 adults and two kids tickets (one for our son and one for a younger cousin to come along with us) she was around 7500 in the list. Flexi actually work perfectly for us atm as we'd only get to a max of 6-7 games so 5 is fine.

30 odd years of regular Joe Public non-members not being able to get tix for love nor money. That is a fair habit to break.

It never even occurred to me that getting a ticket was going to be possible. Not sure I would shell out $55 most of the time but with it being the first game I would have thought about it just for histories sake.

Got the offer tonight too, think I might pass on it though.
Slept on it, took the offer (5 game). Hopefully some memberships get turned over in the next few years though.

I was on the waitlist for 10 years and during that time I went to nearly all the games at subi sitting in the public reserve for about $35 a ticket. Just had to buy them as soon as they went on sale at 9am 2 mondays before the game.

I don't think that's right, there's a section on ticketmaster under every game for flexi members to get tickets. I'm guessing this is where they reserve their seats
Theres 5 fully reserved games (the higher demand games) that flexi members have to prebook their seat to ensure they get one. But they only pay the ticketmaster booking fee no seat upgrade fee. For every other game you scan in with your membership card at the gate and sit anywhere from 502-509.

The fully reserved games are:
Rnd 1 vs Sydney
Rnd 3 vs Geelong
Rnd 4 vs Gold Coast
Rnd 9 vs Richmond
Rnd 20 vs Freo

Obviously if any of the other games is looking like it would sell out im guessing it would be smart to prebook those too if your a flexi member.

Edit: Jootube beat me to it.

How is the Suns game high demand?
The only reasons I can think of are that it’s early in the season and is our first Saturday /night /non-Sunday game. Some people can’t make it to Sunday afternoon/twilight games
