Any news on Hopper
Found it odd that he got hurt in quarter 1 but didn’t come off too the last
Maude a corkie in the calf🤞
its definitely a calf. happened when he got tackled from behind in the first quarter.

He had started well too. Think they kept him on for his size in the middle. Hopefully wont miss too much as he was building nicely.

The 26-year-old, who was subbed out in the third quarter against the Cats, will be unavailable for the medium-term.
Meanwhile, co-captain Toby Nankervis (ankle) is a chance to return for this Saturday night's Dreamtime at the 'G clash, as is young defender Tylar Young (leg).

Has anyone from the club explained why the long list of injuries. What are we going to do about it lol
Give Meehan a pay rise

What if I told you that we don’t have the longest injury list in the competition?

What if I also told you that we are almost on par with the majority of the competition (eight of the 18 teams have 8+ injuries).

soldo back to medium term too.

This one by far the most frustrating. Should never have played against Gold Coast. Half a game of VFL first which is the norm.

That one is on match committee.

This injury list is up and down like a yo-yo

Wasn’t Tarrant supposed to play limited time on the weekend. Guess he’s had a setback , back to “indefinite “

Tarrant has never left indefinite status; even when he was due to ‘ramp up football activities’.

Not sure why, but I suspect we’ll see him go from ‘indefinite’ to ‘short-term’ soon.

Are you Louie's brother?

Christ, this childish rubbish again.

Injuries happen. It is a fact of the AFL that currently around half the league has more than 7+ injuries (by my count 12); and eight teams have 8+ injuries.

Some are suggesting that our injury list is so bad that there must be something akin to malfeasance at the club and that we are the only team that has so many injuries.

Others seem to imply that every injury is the fault of one person and disregarding the fact that the game itself is brutal on the body.

Both of these are simply not true. By your reckoning the performance management at Geelong, St Kilda, West Coast, North Melbourne, GWS and Sydney should all be shown the door.

Is that what you are suggesting?

Why can’t they give us rough estimates on the non indefinite injured players? This short , medium or long term description is confusing and almost telling us that they dont know what’s going on. A simple 2-3 weeks or 4-5weeks would be more informative to us supporters. I’m not sure if I’m being picky, but what do others think or want?

I'm not going to list them individually, but our soft tissue injuries and the way they have been poorly managed is easily worst in the league and completely amateur. It's actually indefensible and even trying to defend it requires a childish response.

Isn't short term 1-2 weeks, medium 3-4, long 5+? That's my understanding.

To be fair some of the worst ones have zero to do with our fitness and conditioning staff. Broken bones (Lynch and Brown) and syndesmosis injuries (Nank) are just unlucky and they have cruelled us as much as any soft tissue ones. Tarrants injury is a chronic one he brought with him from Norf. Plantar fasciitis (Soldo) too is just unlucky and picks certain prone players. These are the facts and as much as I'd like to lay blame on someone, sometimes it is just pure bad luck.
