Love naughty dog, and will need to see more but doesn’t look like this game will be my thing, that trailer did nothing to excite me.
I just hope it's not another soulslike game getting pretty tired of that genre flooding the market over the last few years and this is from some one who loved Elden Ring

I dont know how to describe it better but everything from the Title of the game to even everything in the trailer seems forced. Also all that product placement makes me think they lost a shit ton of money on the cancelled last of us online.

But its naughty dog so Im still interested but im not sold so far.

Be more interested if it didn't look like corporate sponsors were solicited and I'm so tired of being reminded the 1980s is a decade that happened

I'll be the edgelord and say I think ND games are a bit overrated but I won't deny their polish. I love sci-fi and will happily take their production values in a sci-fi setting. Will have to wait to see more though as that trailer doesn't really say much of the kind of game it is (though expecting another third person cover based shooter with a pretty set dressing).

I get the feeling the product placements are there to fit the trailer style, the music, the vibes, the styles, all very 80s. Could be wrong but Naughty Dog are usually unreal at creating worlds, and I have full faith in them with this.

I think SOME of their games are overrated, but they are consistently high quality. The only three big studios other than ND that come to mind when thinking of ones that consistently put out high quality games are FromSoft, Nintendo and Rockstar.

(The games I think are overrated are Uncharted 1 and TLOU 1, though I actually am unsure if Uncharted 1 is held in high regard anymore).

The product placement is so deliberate it is hilarious to see the concern... Gamers aren't known for picking up on anything subtler than an airhorn.

If the product placement is meant to be funny it didn't come off as comedic

Billed as an action adventure title, my concern with it is with balance as most of those end up as dodge once and button spam for console things. So would much prefer to see actual gameplay with a trailer.

It's not meant to be funny, and frankly I have no idea how you have interpreted our posts as such.

It is there to ground the setting and establish an 80s Neon Tokyo vibe. The AKIRA inspiration is being worn on its sleeve.

Only seen a few minutes of Akira. Maybe this game does have a stronger vision than I thought. Still, The Last of Us makers coming up with their whole own new thing would appeal to me more than being reminded of 1980s pop culture for the millionth time.

No idea what sort of game it will be, possibly a very pretty linear third person action game which may or may not be my thing, but I don't even have a PS5 so it's a moot point anyway.

But I do love the retro-futuristic vibe itself.

Fans in the comments trashing the game calling it woke/DEI lols.

People just nitpick on everything these days and just look for something to complain about best to just ignore comments sections its all worthless piles of crap anyway.
