So what’s your take on war crimes, the rebuild of Ukraine (would russia have to pay for it), and the sanctions on russia.
Also, if russia gets to keep the territory it has gained in Ukraine surely this means Ukraine get to keep the territory it has gained in russia.

I reckon Warren Tredrea is the obvious front runner for the next Australian ambassador to US. An alpha male who has shown he has the credentials to fit in with the new Trump Cabinet plus he lives here and still has Aussie accent. His tinder contact list is more likely to be in line with Donny's age target as well.
No idea how but given the weirdo times we live in, flow on benefits to PAFC could be huge. We should definitely push for it to happen.

Russia won't pay any "reparations". That generally goes to the losing team. Any rate the rebuild of Ukraine will go to American Contractors and Finance firms....as was the plan all along. Further indebtng the country.
What Russian territory has been annexed by Ukraine?
The concession that Russia will make is that they won't invade anywhere else westerly if there is an assurance that Ukraine won't join NATO.

For two months now, Ukrainian troops have been in control of dozens of settlements in Russia’s border region, with refugees continuing to pour into the Kursk Oblast’s provincial capital as fierce fighting in the west of the region continues.
Russia has given assurances in the past.
The Budapest memorandum was struck in 1994.
The Budapest Memorandum consists of a series of political assurances whereby the signatory states commit to “respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine”.
Russia was one of the signatory states.
Russia first broke its commitments under the Budapest Memorandum in 2014, with its annexation of Crimea and aggression in eastern Ukraine
Ukraine may have only 2 options to guarantee russia don’t invade again.

Trump will want to get something out of the Russians to cement his legacy as a great deal maker.

In 2017, he gave the green light for the United States to provide lethal aid to Ukraine, something his predecessor, Democrat Barack Obama, had refused to do because of concerns about provoking Moscow.
We have no idea what to expect, with Trump, in terms of military aid.
In April, Trump said he would be open to something like the lend-lease program the United States launched to help allies during World War II as an alternative to aid grants.

Not surprisingly the Murdoch Press are determined to end Kevin Rudd's tenure as Australian Ambassador to the US. They are pillorying Rudd for saying what most Australians think about Donald Trump. The same Murdoch cronies will probably not comment on the appointment of former Fox News host Pete Hegseth as defence chief not to mention former Fox talkback host Mike Huckabee's appointment as Ambassador to Israel. Trump rewarding his mates from the Fox network is not newsworthy and never going to draw criticism from the Murdoch Empire.
I do not expect to see the Murdoch Press criticising Trump's appointment of Elon Musk to head the Department of Government Efficiency. Doubtless this Department will ease regulation and statutory requirements for Trump, Musk, Murdoch and alike. Elon Musk has bought himself into a position of influence and the US will be run by the mega rich and the US population has only itself to blame if it all goes pear shaped.
Hopefully Anthony Albanese shows some balls and leaves Rudd where he is.

The Murdoch Press and ‘X’ will both be out to finish Labor and help get Dutton in power. We may as well drag Abbott back and Scomo too, why not.
I’m no fan of Albo mind you, to me he represents old politics of Australia, just like Scomo, Dutton etc… I’d prefer our state leader jump to federal level but he isn’t that stupid. He atleast seems to be in the middle, not too far right, not too far left, seems to be right where a politician should be in the modern world.

Donald Trump's Ukraine peace envoy, Tucker Carlson, today urged President Zelensky to cede all occupied oblasts, refrain from joining NATO for at least 20 years, and go into exile, in exchange for peace. Asked what security guarantees Ukraine would get for this peace, Carlson replied, "trust me bro".

With every appointment the situation gets worse. The only saving grace may be that last time around there was a revolving door at the White House and not too many of the Trump appointments saw out the four years.

It will be interesting to see how many of them make major c*ck ups or even survive the 4 year term and possibly if he does himself, particularly if (as suggested in some circles) that he may be aiming for a complete takeover of the country's military and its leaders, which given their oath of allegiance should be a fight he cannot win.
If the US was a banana republic somewhere in South America the whole sorry saga would be laughable!
