INXS to perform AFL GF Pre-Game Entertainment

Apologies if this has already been posted but according to the AFL twitter site, it appears that INXS are performing the Grand Final pre-game entertainment. Personally I am not a fan of the band but it is better than a bunch of Australian Idol/X Factor contestants. Some will argue that the game needs no entertainment, but it seems that it is a requirement of any big sporting event these days, and may encourage those who are not interested in the game to tune in.

What are your thoughts? Could the AFL have done better or are you a fan? Do you give a ****?

The band just makes no sense since Hutchence died. They should have retired INXS and started a new band. None of the singers they've tried have worked at all. It'll be a real fizzer to have them at the Grand Final. Bad choice.

INXS are never going to be as good as when Michael Hutchence was around but at least they will play a couple of classic INXS songs that most people will know.

Get a properly trained singer to belt out the national anthem (or even a recording like the regular finals) and that would be more than enough. Let kids play Auskick or whatever at half time. No need for anything else, but the AFL will carry on wasting money on their usual pointless and embarassing entertainment.
