I'd honestly prefer Basil (and I can't stand the guy). Brayshaw is a soulless and vapid phoney

I love JB and if he plays it straight he'll be very very good.
If he falls into the current 7 Saturday night trap of going over the top looking for "entertainment" everyone will be anti him very quickly

Judging by their Tennis coverage, they seem to be grooming Basil to take over from Bruce as their number one guy, but here’s hoping Bradshaw is coming in to replace him.
I thought I read somewhere that Basil was rumoured to be replacing O’keefe on weekend sunrise?

No offence but you're all f#cked in the head. Brayshaw is just about the worst sports commentator this country has ever produced. Schwarz and Daicos the only two that might be worse.

His voice .you have to turn the volume down when he speaks and up whenever someone else does .especially when he co-hosted the footy show .

I only have Huddo above Brayshaw as a match commentator, this is huge for 7.
I actually really like his voice. Better than Basil’s annoying, monotone, slurred twang. Is great at building excitement, too.
He’s a great get for 7, Darcy is no good but he’ll pair better with JB than either Basil or BT, I reckon

I don't like him but I'll give him a chance to see if i can warm to him calling footy on TV. My biggest issues with him calling cricket on 9 hopefully won't surface while he calls the footy on 7. If he's calling with any of his Triple M mates, i hope he keeps his Triple M style at Triple M. If i wanted to listen to that style of commentary, I'd listen to Triple M radio. I'm no fan of Basil, Luke Darcy and Hamish as callers to be honest, so the bar isn't set particularly high for Brayshaw.

He doesn't have an analytical mind, never does his homework on middle tier/lesser known players and constantly feigns enthusiasm.
PS Apologies to Luke Darcy and Hame when I mentioned the worst aussie commentators earlier...they are right up there as well
Sorry that might not have been clear, I mean Darcy/JB would be a better tandem than Darcy/BT or Darcy/Basil
