More info on James Ezard

Ezard was taken at pick 34 in the 2004 AFL Draft from Calder Cannons. In 2005, he kicked the winning goal against Adelaide in a pre-season NAB cup match, but spent the year playing in the South Australian National Football League for West Adelaide, putting in some good performances, but still unable to break into Port Adelaide's main team.

Ezard made his AFL debut in round 8 of the 2006 AFL season, but Port Adelaide were soundly beaten by Brisbane by 69 points. Ezard played the next three games, kicking a goal in the match against Carlton. At the end of the 2006 AFL season, he was delisted by the club. In 2007, he signed for West Adelaide, staying in South Australia instead of returning home to Victoria, so that he did not have to relocate.

A small midfielder, he wore jumper number 9 for Port Adelaide.

talking about rehashing and past players, I wonder if Ezard is another chance at a life line, he is taking it up anotehr level this year in the SANFL. Surely he would go alright half back running through the mid.

Washed up at 24 ....crazy
He would have to be as good as Tommo who we passed over to Richmond

If he kept us this form, he may surpass Logan's value.

I am sure the Port boys still watch and support him. Hopefully for him he's a later bloomer and gets another shot somewhere, I like those stories.
