Gotta love the tribunal disallowing evidence related to the grading of the offence as irrelevant and then go on to present their case on the basis of how it looks which isn’t a factor in the grading.

Literally making up the rules as they go to suit the result they’re after.

Honestly, where did we find this guy??

He should be arguing that the player did not feel contact.
There is no risk of injury from zero contact.

I'll preface this by saying that Sic 100% needs to stop doing this stupid shit as captain, but is there any other player in the comp that they'd outright dismiss first hand evidence from the other player involved? Can't imagine there would be.

Seems like the AFL wants Sicily to pay for the act of kicking regardless of impact.Would think that the same ruling should be applied to throwing a punch that doesn't connect because neither is acceptable. Sic is gonsky but the AFL argument is completely flawed unless all acts of violence are treated the same.

Sure is funny that NOW the AFL is worried about how players code could interfere with a hearing...

Sicily got suspended for dropping down on Selwood but Selwood was inhibiting from getting off Selwood argued and got off exactly the same act just a few weeks later

If McGrath doesn’t line him up, there’s no incident.

‘If you elect to bump, and you hurt your head, that’s a suspension’

Have to wonder if they’d allow McGrath to give evidence if it wasn’t already known it would support Sicily.

And didn’t see any mention of the medical report in Zita’s tweets.

Ban will be upheld.

100%. They will trot out the potential to cause injury line.

Each year I’m more and more disillusioned with the AFL. Just self fellating backslappers ripping the integrity out of the sport that is Aussie Rules.

Is this our punishment for the racism report? It’s hard to think otherwise.

We always hire the most incompetent lawyers.
McGrath admission disallowed twice? Get an Essendon medical report.
Say the force behind the kick had no potential for harm without providing any wiggle room.
Bring up like 10 videos of similar kicking incidents where other players only received fines.
I'm surprised they didn't go down the path of reasonable act of self defence.

It's crystal clear from the vision that McGrath lined Sic up and was planning on flattening him.

Unfortunately, I think this is just them warming up.

I don’t think we even attempted to table it.
Our lawyer argued about as good as our goal kicking on Saturday.
