More info on Jared Poulton
Solid defender who relied more on perseverance than skill. Originally drafted from the Port Magpies in 1999 he was re-drafted for the 2002 season.
An unobtrusive performer who was a permanent fixture in defence throughout 2002, but could not maintain his place in 2003, playing 15 games before losing his place on the eve of the finals. He had a similar pattern in 2004 with 14 games before a hamstring injury cost him his place. Poulton went on to play one more game in 2005 before returning to the Port Magpies, playing there until the end of 2007. Poulton is best remembered for a match winning goal after the goal against Sydney at the SCG in 2002.
