Another predicting a breakout year for a player who is already top tier:

The reality is, JHF is already our best clearance player by averages. No mean feat when you are 20yo and you are competing for that title with a Brownlow medalist midfielder and two other All-Australian midfielders.


He need not play forward this year as we have recruited goal kickers. There is no longer any fitness or young body reason to hold him back- he should now go from 54% CBAs to 66% CBAs. The attention he will get will only make Butters more dangerous.


The only issue is how will he handle the number 1 tagger? From a team point of view it won't matter- Butters will excel. But from a personal point of view- he seems to have the tools and tricks to handle that.
