Future definitely bright.

But gee, Anderson is going to lead it all.

Bloody hard nut who has already crunched both Selwood and Pendlebury this year, can kick goals, lay tackles has a good leap, good endurance apparently but most importantly he is apparently a clearance nut.

Can't wait to see more of Jed, what a star!

Another thing that made me smile ...
In the rooms after the game most if not all players can be seen chasing up stats and the like ....
Jed just sat there infront of his locker looking content with his outing . Gold

Some players set themselves a goal, just as you would in your job (turnover at x amount for example)
It may not have been all about stats

I think he would come into the side with a real fire for a chance at finals, would probably go ballistic in being given such a golden opportunity (would be akin to Rioli in 2008; X-factor in first year who could change the course of a GF...)

I think there is nothing to lose, he seems the type who will step up to the plate with relish, and so much to gain. Please, please, please bring him in Clarko (and extended match committee)

Should of been in at least two weeks ago. He has the vital ingredient we need to beat the cats, pace.
He can chase, harass, pressure and catch the likes of motlop, etc off their back flank.
But Clarko will play the 08 premiership side until they are 75 years old. He is likely to play X Ellis before Ando.

Million dollar question is who does Ando replace now that Sewell and Lewis are back in form, for this week anyway when we played the pies who have a midfield as slow as ours. Who?

Hill

Definitely shouldn't have been brought in yet. Hammies been a problem, needs a lot of match conditioning before snrs. Best to let it happen through box hill with the lower intensity rather than throw him in the team and have another soft tissue due to lack of conditioning.

Will be a great inclusion when they bring him in though. Love the injection of youth and enthusiasm of a first year rookie, and the effect on other players. His speed is being overrated here a tad, he isn't super fast

Brilliant to hear him doing so well.

The signs Anderson was showing when he started, especially his very last game, were extremely encouraging. It didn't look like he would get dropped at all, and unfortunately has had a couple of niggles keeping him out of the side.

While I'm enjoying hearing him do so well, I don't quite see how we could pick him in a finals team given he's a first year player, has missed so much footy, and we have Guerra to come back, possibly Shiels as well, along with Simpkin. The guys who could lose their spots are Hill, Savage, Duryea, and that would be a huge call given all those guys have gotten so much senior exposure recently. Anderson's form was promising and I am a huge fan, but nothing I saw makes me that he would be able to jump over all those guys despite not having played since the very early rounds.

Guerra will come back in if he's fit, so I think it will be Guerra for Duryea.
Then I guess Anderson's chance is taking Hill's spot, but again that is also choosing him over Shiels and Simpkin, and that would be a huge call by the club.

I personally would play it safer and bring Guerra and Shiels back in for our inexperienced players in Hill and Duryea, but it certainly will be interesting at selection time. Regardless of who gets selected, its good to see we have a decent squad available that is batting deep with Guerra, Shiels, Simpkin, Anderson, and Osborne all out of the very strong team we fielded last week. We will definitely field a strong bottom 6 which wasn't the case in last years grand final.

He now plays with one knee lightly strapped. When running into the wind he seemed to be labouring but found the footy with ease and was able to roost the ball OK so whatever he has got he is dealing with it.
