Opinion Jesse White as a Tall Crumbing Forward

Everyone is saying that we have no Crumbing Forwards.

So I was thinking how White get his Goals. There are not normal from Marks - Normally by ball hitting the Ground or a Drop Mark that he Runs onto and Kicks a Goal from Them.

So IF he get's AFL Game Time his best Postion could be as a Crumbing Forward. Also he can Play Ruck and keep Moore out of the Ruck for a Year of 2.

Moore is Ahead of White as a Tall Forward

Agree?

No, just NO.
White is athletic but he certainly isn't a crumber

Then what is he. He is not a Tall Forward and his only position that would fit him is the 2nd Ruck but I think Moore would be Played in that Role. Even with being Young

I thought we could do this with Grundy. That way we could use our number one ruck in Witts in the middle and Brodie providing a chop out in the ruck when Witts needs a rest.

White can take a grab, its never been a problem for mine. He can also kick a snap goal. But that's it. Other than bobbing up for a couple of goals he doesn't really do anything else. There is no substance to his game, just a tiny bit of flash which is is his goal kicking and posters will constantly quote it say he's a good player. He doesn't hit packs hard, doesn't compete, is a lost lamb up the field.

He might occasionally kick a goal like a crumber, but can he regularly get front and centre crumbs, put forward 50 pressure on and set up goals like a crumber. Its a no from what he's shown as a footballer.

He is a dud. He shouldn't be in the side all year. If he is we won't be making finals.

I dissagree, Sydney have made the finals with him in the side. As long as we don't go with one ruck, Cloke and White we can make the finals but I hope he plays mostly VFL anyways.

Both Moore and White will play if we don't go with 2 genuine ruckman, I would prefer to see Moore stay in the forward 50 and white play the 3rd tall\ruck. It's what white was requited for originally, but white certainly isn't a crumbling forward and you would be gifting him games in a role he doesn't have the skill set to play

I don't think that is entirely fair TD, white has had to play the 2nd key forward since arriving at the club, he is a 3rd tall/ ruck but hasn't been given a decent crack at the role due to circumstance the last 2 years.
I get the feeling you are a very harsh critic of Jessie.

I can't really remember Sydney's forward line set up then but they would surely have the talent there to carry him a little more than we do. Unless he has his best season to date I struggle to see him getting a contract extension.

I think he has a good burst of speed and is fairly agile for a big guy. I seem to remember the first game he played for us (NAB Cup) I was surprised that his couple of goals came after the ball hit the ground, not from marks. This suggests he has the capability to play that crumbing role. I suspect though that he is in the "tall" category with Moore and Cloke, not "ground ball forward" like Elliott, Fas, Blair etc.

Summary - might be able to do it, but unlikely to structured in the side to do it.

I have been over to the Sydney board and they seem to complain about the same things. Allot of grunt midfielder but few skilled players and poor forward structures and no crumbers. At the time they had Tippett and two rucks Pyke and Mumford.

I don't think White playing will cost us finals but I hope others improve around him and make sure he doesn't get a game again.

Might make the Finals but Can say the Something about Moore and Cloke.

White might play Howe's Position until he comes back thru the VFL

He looks like an "Athlete that is playing Footy" and not the other way around

FFS White, Moore and Cloke can play in the same team. So can Howe, he's a runner with good overhead marking not a key forward.

Why is it always Moore v White with you?

Because People put them Together as a Relief Ruckman and Club has talked about Both White and Moore as Possible Rucks.

So Howe be more Pushing Fasolo out of the Side?

Also on a team comparison, I think our talent matches up with theirs if 2013.

Sydne's Qualifying final team compared to a possible best 22 for us.
