How bout that Zac Bailey?

Fagan sung his praise big time on a radio interview yesterday.

Also mentioned Starcevich had a slight hammy and Rayner had a cut on his leg from training that got infected

How bout that Zac Bailey?
Was a powerhouse in the U18's last year & i am keeping an eye on him ......but thought yesterday he'd lost the puppy fat (bit skinny) and skills were a bit sloppy

Thoughts on Christensen's hitout yesterday ?
He looked decent enough to me without being overly impressive, for his first game in ages though the main thing is he got through unscathed. he certainly wouldn't have put anyone off picking him. Lets hope he play JLT and we get a proper look at him.

19 of the Tiges GF 22 named for the first JLT game. (Rioli, Broad, Prestia missing)
Higgins the only relevant rookie named, Garthwaite is the only only 0 gamer named, who is from Corowa, which is only 40 mins away from Wang so he was always gonna get a gig.

Prestia will be there round 1 so that leaves 2 spots.

Based on what they’ve selected I would guess that Conca is line to take Broad’s spot and it will be between C.Ellis, Bolton and Higgins for Rioli’s.

Similarly I reckon that the last 2 spots will be out of Conca/CEllis and Higgins/Bolton.
Conca and Higgins would get the nod from me.

It's just JLT but I don't ****ing care! Good to have football back on the tv ;)

The GIANTS have named a 29-man squad for Friday evening’s practice match against the Swans at Henson Park in Marrikville.

Reigning Kevin Sheedy Medallist and 2017 All Australian Josh Kelly has been named while fellow All Australian Dylan Shiel is also set to play.

Jeremy Cameron will line up alongside Jon Patton in the forward line, while co-captain Callan Ward, vice-captain Stephen Coniglio and Lachie Whitfield will all spend time in the midfield.

Just six days before the GIANTS’ opening JLT Community Series clash with Collingwood, the practice match serves as a great opportunity for the GIANTS’ youngsters to impress against the club’s cross-town rival.

Draftees Aiden Bonar and Nick Shipley - and second year GIANT Will Setterfield - will get another chance to push their case for JLT Series selection, following impressive performances in the GIANTS’ AFLX tournament last Saturday.

It will be the first glimpse of a GIANTS side without ruckman Shane Mumford and forward Steve Johnson who both retired over the off-season, and provides fans with a glimpse of who might line up in round one against the Western Bulldogs, which is only a month away.

Dawson Simpson and Matt Flynn will rotate through the ruck while Lachie Tiziani and rookies Dylan Buckley and Jack Buckley will get to show their skills in the forward line.

The Swans have named a strong squad with forward Lance Franklin and midfielder Josh Kennedy set to feature on the night.

The match will be live streamed on gwsgiants.com.au, with more details to follow.
